Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、可撓吸収材シート面上にて、直線状折り線に
沿って折りたたんだ少なくとも１個の折り返し部を有す
る可撓吸収材シートより成る特に砂時計型の吸収パッド
、砂時計型のかかる吸収パッドを包含する衛生用品、及
びオムツ並びに砂時計型吸収パッドの連続製造法に関す
る。
〔従来の技術〕
可撓吸収材シートの折りたたみに関する問題は、−ｉに
、折りたたみ作業が重要な役割を果たすオムツや他の衛
生用品用吸収パッド、特に該パッドが一部を形成するオ
ムツのように長さの中央部、すなわち股間部を狭くした
砂時計型吸収パッドの製造時に生じてくる。実際、吸収
パッドを砂時計形状にする場合、最初の長方形パッドに
除去部を設けるように対向する２個の側部切り込み部を
形成したり、最初の長方形吸収材シートの長さの中央部
にのみ２個の折り返し部を設けてもよく、この場合各折
り返し部はシート側縁から出る２個の切り込み部を包含
する除去部によってシートから分離され、該切り込み部
の内端を通る折り線を基準にシート面にて折り返される
ものである。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
しかしながら、特にオムツ用吸収パッドを製造する場合
のように、折りたたみを高ピツチで実施しなければなら
ない場合、両端のみによって決定される線上で可撓材を
折りたたむのは困難である。
更に、パッドを折りたたんだ状態にしておくと、かかる
パッドを使用するオムツの製造中の操作によって折り返
し部は弾性シートの故に再度折り戻される傾向にあると
いう問題が度々生じる。更に砂時計型パッドの場合、快
適であるためにはパッド側縁が股間部にて特に柔らかく
なければならないのに股間部における吸収パッド側縁が
堅いしわになってしまう。
本発明の目的は極めて正確に折り返され、折り返し位置
にて確実に保持されるような折り返し部を有する吸収パ
ッドを提供することである。同様に本発明の目的は股間
帯域が柔らかい側縁を有する砂時計型吸収パッドを提供
することである。更に本発明の目的はかかる砂時計型パ
ッドを備えるオムツ、衛生ナプキン及び遺尿者用パツキ
ンを提供することである。最後に本発明の目的は、正確
に折り返され、折り返し位置にて確実に保持されるよう
な折り返し部を有する砂時計型吸収パッドを高速度で連
続製造可能な方法を提供することである。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明による吸収パッドは、シート面の直線折り線に沿
って折った少なくとも１個の折り返し部を有する可撓吸
収材シートで形成される。本発明による折り返し部は、
蝶番を形成してシート上に折り返し部の折り線を決定す
る少なくとも２個の連結部によって断続する除去部によ
ってシートがら分離される。
〔発明の効果〕
可撓吸収材シートで構成した隔設連結個所においてのみ
シートと連結するように折り返し部がほぼ完全に除去さ
れるので、折り返し部の折りたたみは、該連結部におい
て正確に実施され、連結部のみの弾性戻し効果は、折り
線の全長に渡りシートと連結する折り返し部に生じる戻
し効果よりはるかに小さいので折り返し部が再度折り戻
されることはない。
本発明による砂時計型パッドは、パッドの長さの中央部
に位置する２個の対向側部折り返し部を有し、各折り返
し部が、該パッドの縁から出る２個の切り込み部を有す
る除去部によって該パッドから分離し、該除去部が更に
Ｈｆ１２個の隔設切り込み部相互間にあって蝶番を成す
２個の連結部によって該切り込み部より分離することを
特徴とする。
かくて２個の連結部は各折り返し部をシート上に形成す
る際の折り線の両側に位置するので正確な折り返しを確
実に実施することができる。
本発明による砂時計型パッドの場合、長手方向に僅かに
方向づけだ中央切り込み部は直線又は曲線のいづれでも
よい。後者の場合、パッドの側縁は股間帯域にて柔らか
であるばかりでなく、シート縁とそこで折り返された折
り返し部が一致する方向において更に柔らかくするため
にバンドの長さに対して横方向に相互に位置をずらしで
ある。
従って極めて改良された製品が得られる。
本発明による砂時計型吸収パ・ラドの連続製造法は、 連続する吸収材シートを展開する段階と、該連続シート
の長手方向対向縁の各々に、長手方向に隔設した対を成
す切り込み部を連続形成する段階と、 一各組の隔設切り込み部の内端相互間に長手方向中央切
り込み部を連続形成し、その時に該中央切り込み部の対
向する両端と対を成す該隔設切り込み部の内端との間に
２個の連結部を残すようにする段階と、 蝶番を成す該連結部、すなわち該切り込み部と連続シー
トの各長手方向縁によって限定される連結部を中心にシ
ートを折り返す段階とで構成されることを特徴とする。
本発明の他の特徴及び利点は、本発明の２個の実施例を
非制限例として示す添付の図面を参照して以下に詳述す
る。
〔実施例］ 第１図に示す例えば粉砕セルロースパルプ（フラノｆｌ
ｕｆｆ）より成るシート状吸収材の連続帯１は展開され
て長手方向軸２に沿う矢印の方向の切断位置まで連続移
動する。該切断位置には例えば図示しない２個のシリン
ダを設け、一方のシリンダの周辺部には２組のカッタを
取り付け、先行カッタを直線カンタとし、僅かな距離で
後方に続くカッタを弯曲カッタとする。連続帯１が２個
のシリンダ相互間を通過する時、各組を成す３個のカッ
タは、連続帯の対向する２個の長手方向縁の各々にカッ
タを備えるシリンダの直径の関数として定めた間隔にて
２個の切り込み部３と切り込み部４を設けるが、この場
合核部り込み部３は連続帯１の長手方向軸に沿って隔設
され、対向方向の円の弓形状に弯曲し、該切り込み部４
は長平方向に直線形で、切り込み部３の内端相互間にあ
って長手方向軸２に沿って切り込み部３の内端を分離す
る距離以下の長さを有する。かくて切り込み部４の対向
する両端と切り込み部３の内端との間には連続帯１の２
つの部分５が残されるが、これは切り取られるものでは
なく、切り込み部３及び４によって画定される除去部６
は連続帯１の残りの部分と連結したままである。
本発明の製造方法によれば、連続帯１の上面を上方へ折
り返すように、それぞれ２個の連結部５によって決定さ
れる長手方向折り軸７を中心に２個の折り返し部６を折
りたたむ。断続した該２個の連結部５は、折り軸７を正
確に定め、面積が少ない故に該連結部を折りたたむ際の
抵抗が僅かであるので、折り返し部６に生じる戻り効果
は無視できるものであり、折り返し位置に確実に保持さ
れる。
次の作業行程においては、連続帯１を連続する折り返し
部６相互間の横方向において、すなわち最初の幅を維持
している連続帯１０個所において切断することによって
砂時計型の各パッド８が得られるが、該パッドは折り返
し部６を折り畳むことによって形成される除去部９がオ
ムツの股間帯域に位置するようにオムツに内蔵される。
第２図に示す砂時計型吸収パッドと第１図に示すものと
の相違点は、除去部１９を形成する際に２個の折り返し
部１６を折りたたむための蝶番を成す２個の連結部１５
相互間に設ける中央切り込み部の形状のみである。この
場合、該切り込み部の形状は外側へ凸状に弯曲した形状
を有するので、折り返し部１６を折り返した後、２個の
連結部１５相互間における除去部１９の縁は吸収材の２
枚の厚さが横方向に位置をずらせた２個の縁によって形
成される故に少しづつ段状になる。
当然のことながら図示し説明してきた実施例は非制限例
として示したものであり、本発明の範囲を逸脱すること
な（各種別型及び変形が可能である。
かくて、本発明の範囲内において吸収パッドの構成材と
して既知のいかなる材料を使用してもよい。
更に、例えば１本又は２本の長手方向折り線に沿うパッ
ドの全長に渡り、二重又は三重の厚さのパッドを折りた
たみによって形成する場合には、砂時計型ではない吸収
パッドに前述のものと同じ切り込み及び折りたたみ方法
を適用可能である。
切り込み部が長手方向に直線である場合に該切断方法が
適用される。
本発明の特別な利点は、股間部に除去部を形成するため
に短い中央折り返し部６を正確に折りたたみ可能な図示
の如き砂時計型パッドの場合に得られるものであり、こ
れは、折り返しのために２個の末端切り込み部のみを設
け、２個の切り込み部の内端相互間にある長い連結部を
中心にして折り返し部を折りたたむような既知の方法で
は極めて困難なものである。
当然のことながら、２個の末端切り込み部を弯曲させな
いで直線状に、又はパッドの長手方向軸に対して斜め又
は傾斜させてもよい。
第２図の実施例の場合、中間切り込み部は内側へ凸状に
弯曲しているが、吸収材シートがベルトコンベアの如き
支持体上に配置されている場合に折り返し部を折り畳む
のは難しい。これに反して切り込み部が外側へ凸状に弯
曲している場合には折り返し部の折りたたみが極めて簡
単である。注意すべきことは、折り返し部を定める除去
部の中央切り込み部を弯・自形にすることによって本発
明の成果を得るには、股間部にある除去部の中央帯域に
ある吸収材の２枚の厚さの縁を相互に僅かにずらせるだ
けでよい。かくて、オムツの場合、最大変位は１センチ
のオーダーとなり、これは０．５センチのオーダーの弛
度又は振幅を有する弯曲形中央切り込み部に相当する。
最後に、吸収パッドをオムツ用として使用するものとし
て本発明を説明してきたが、特に砂時計型の他の衛生用
品、すなわち衛生ナプキンや使用者の腰部に閉鎖用の連
結装置を設けた或いは設けない遺尿者用パツキンにも本
発明の利点を適用可能であることに留意されたい。

Claims (9)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）可撓吸収材シート面の直線状折り線に沿って折り
    たたんだ折り返し部を少なくとも１個備える該吸収材シ
    ートで形成した吸収パッドにして、該折返し部（６）が
    、シート（１）上の折り返し部（６）の折り線（７）を
    定めて蝶番を形成する少なくとも２個の隔設連結部（５
    ）により断続された切り込み部（３，４）によって該吸
    収シートから分離されることを特徴とする該吸収パッド
    。
  2. （２）パッドの長さの中央部に位置する２個の対向する
    側部折り返し部を有する砂時計型で、各折り返し部が該
    シートの横縁から始まる１対の隔設する切り込み部を有
    する除去部によって該シートから分離し、該除去部が、
    更に該２個の隔設切り込み部（３）相互間にあって蝶番
    を成す２個の連結部（５）によって該切り込み部より分
    離する中央切り込み部（４）を有することを特徴とする
    特許請求の範囲第１項記載の吸収パッド。
  3. （３）該中央切り込み部（４）が直線であることを特徴
    とする特許請求の範囲第２項記載の吸収パッド。
  4. （４）該中央切り込み部が弯曲することを特徴とする特
    許請求の範囲第２項記載の吸収パッド。
  5. （５）該中央切り込み部が、外側へ凸状に弯曲すること
    を特徴とする特許請求の範囲第４項記載の吸収パッド。
  6. （６）特許請求の範囲第２項乃至第５項のいずれかに記
    載の砂時計型吸収パッドを包含するオムツ。
  7. （７）特許請求の範囲第２項乃至第５項のいずれかに記
    載の砂時計型吸収パッドを包含する衛生ナプキン。
  8. （８）特許請求の範囲第２項乃至第５項のいずれかに記
    載の吸収パッドを包含する遺尿者用パッキン。
  9. （９）特許請求の範囲第２項乃至第５項のいずれかに記
    載の砂時計型オムツ用吸収パッドの連続製造法にして、 −吸収材シートの連続帯を展開する段階と、−該帯の対
    向する長手方向両縁の各々に長手方向に隔設して対を成
    す切り込み部を連続して設ける段階と、 −各組の隔設切り込み部の内端相互間に長手方向中央切
    り込み部を連続して設け、その時に該中央切り込み部の
    対向する両端と対を成す該隔設切り込み部の内端との間
    に２個の連結部を残すようにする段階と、 −蝶番を成す該連結部、周囲のシート上に、該切り込み
    部によって画定される帯の各部と帯の各長手方向縁とを
    折りたたむ段階とで構成されることを特徴とする該連続
    製造法。
