【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案はビデオテープレコーダ等に使用される
ヘリカルスキヤン方式の回転ヘツド装置に関し、
特に円柱状ガイドドラムを用いると共に磁気ヘツ
ドの磁気テープへの当接を良好にするようにした
ものである。

従来、ヘリカルスキヤン方式の回転ヘツド装置
においては、磁気ヘツドの回転軸を直立方向にと
り且つガイドドラムに磁気テープを斜めに巻きつ
けることにより、磁気テープの磁気ヘツドによる
走査を行なつていた。しかし、磁気テープがガイ
ドドラムに案内される前の磁気テープと案内され
た後の磁気テープではガイドドラムの軸方向につ
いてみた高度が変化し、両者に段差を設ける必要
があつた。従つてこの段差のない場合に比べてガ
イドドラム周辺の構造が複雑化し、故障の原因と
もなり問題があつた。ところで、この磁気テープ
の段差をなくし平行テープパスを実現するには磁
気ヘツドの回転軸を斜めにして磁気テープをガイ
ドドラムに平行にかけるとよいが、第1図に示す
様に磁気ヘツドの回転軌跡Aは角度をつけて見る
と楕円Bとなるためガイドドラムの側面の輪郭と
しては楕円Bであることが必要となる。ところが
斯る楕円のガイドドラムは加工が困難であり量産
にも適さない。また単に円柱のガイドドラムを楕
円のガイドドラムとしただけでは磁気ヘツドが磁
気テープに良好に当接できないため問題があつ
た。

示し、このガイドドラム1にはヘツドベース2を
固着して同時に回転させるヘツドバー3の移動用
の空間1aを周知の如く形成する。

ためのストツパ2bを設ける。この場合ストツパ
2bまでの凹部の長さ1は磁気ヘツド5の回転
走査時、ヘツドバー3の先端が磁気テープ6と最
もはなれているところでも後述する発条2cによ
る力と、遠心力による力により磁気ヘツド5が磁
気テープ6に十分当接できるだけの長さとする。
2cは磁気ヘツド5をきわめて微力で矢印C方向
に付勢する発条を示し、この発条2cはヘツドベ
ース2の凹部2a及び磁気ヘツド5の所定の位置
に両端を第3図に示す如く装着する。

適度な自由度をもつことになる。このように磁気
ヘツド5をサスペンシヨンをもたせてヘツドベー
ス2に取付ける様にしたことにより後述の如く磁
気ヘツド5の磁気テープ6への当接が安定化でき
る。ヘツドバー3の180゜反対側に関しても同様に
構成したヘツドベース2及び磁気ヘツド5を取付
けるようにする。

ドドラム1上面から見ると第4図に示す様に磁気
ヘツド5の軌跡は楕円5bとなる。また磁気テー
プ6が円柱状のガイドドラム1に対接している場
合には第5図に示す如く磁気ヘツドの先端が磁気
テープ6にとどかない部分を除けば適当なサスペ
ンシヨンをもつて取付けられている磁気ヘツド5
が磁気テープ6に適当な圧力をもつて当接し磁気
テープ6をヘリカルスキヤンする。従つて、磁気
テープ6がヘツドバー3の先端から離れれば離れ
る程発条2cの力及び遠心力により磁気ヘツド5
がより外へと飛び出して対応でき安定して所定の
走査区間を磁気ヘツド5が磁気テープ6へ当接す
る様になる。ここで第5図に示す如く磁気テープ
6の記録領域としての6aの部分については磁気
ヘツド5は適当な圧力で磁気テープ6に当接でき
ることになる。

られて段差がなくなりガイドドラム1付近の磁気
テープの案内機構が簡易になると共に磁気ヘツド
5の磁気テープ6への当接を良好にでき良好な記
録再生ができる利益がある。また、ガイドドラム
1に少々の加工誤差があつても磁気ヘツド5にサ
スペンシヨンをもたせているため良好な記録再生
ができる。
