Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten a processing time of magnetic recording by providing two write heads arranged in parallel in the center on the upper face of a magnetic recording head main body and four read head arranged before and after these write heads correspondingly to two write heads. CONSTITUTION:A first track write head 2 and a second track write head 5 are provided in parallel on the upper face of a main body 1, and first track read heads 3 and 4 and second track read heads 6 and 7 are provided before and after heads 2 and 5 correspondingly to these heads 2 and 5. Consequently, the read after write operation is performed forward and backward. Thus, the processing time is considerably shortened in comparison with conventional read after write type magnetic recording heads.
