Abstract

PURPOSE:To adhere a thin film magnetic head with a high precision and to improve the mass productivity by using an adhesive to stick rear faces of respective substrates of a recording head for signal write and a reproducing head for signal read to each other at the time of unifying these heads. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic substrate materials 5 and 6 of high thickness precision and good flatness are used, and a write head 2 and a read head 2 are stuck at a prescribed azimuth angle to faces of substrate material 5 and 6 facing each other. The gap between substrate materials 5 and 6 where heads are not stuck is penetrated with the adhesive and this adhesive is hardened. Thus, the adjustment of the inclination of heads 1 and 2 is unnecessary and the reproducibility is improved because the adhesive film thickness is not thin but is uniform.

ている薄膜磁気ヘッドの製造方法に関する。

〈従来技術〉 従来、磁気テープは外部記憶装置として古くから用いら

近は記録する情報量の増大に伴い、次第に高密度化の要
求により、トラック幅が狭くなり、ビット密度が向上し
ており、書き込みヘッドと読み出しヘッドの僅か々ずれ
や傾きでも、情報が正しく読み出せなくなるという問題
があり、書込みヘッドと読み出しヘッドのずれ、傾きの
ないようなヘッドが要望されている。

〈実施例〉 以下、本発明の薄膜磁気ヘッドの製造方法の一実施例に
つき図面を用いて詳細に説明を行なう。

本発明は、第1図(同図(a)は書き込みヘッド1と読
み出しヘッド2を接着したものの側面図、同図(b)は
その平面図である。)の如く厚さ精度及び平坦度の良い
磁性基板材料5,6を用い、あらかじめ、所定のヘッド
間の傾き角(アジマス角)を満足する精度をもつ基板材
料5,6上に形成された書き込みヘッド1と読み取りヘ
ッド2の裏面相互を接着剤にて直接貼合せ固着し、一体
形磁気ヘッドを形成するものである。このヘッド1とヘ
ッド2の貼合せには、両者を位置合せ調整後、両者のす
きまに接着剤を浸透させ硬化する方法を採ったが、これ
によれば接着剤膜厚が極薄で均一であるために、ヘッド
1とヘッド2の傾きを調整する必要がなく、精度よく貼
合す事ができる。
