Conventionally, when cutting and peeling the wire coating layer, only the coating layer was carefully cut with a cutting tool such as a knife, or a special coating layer cutting tool was used. However, the former method still sometimes damages the inner insulation or shielding copper tape, while the latter coating cutting tool is structurally complex and expensive.

An embodiment of this invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Reference numeral 1 denotes a cutting member which is the core of the tape cutter, and in this embodiment, it is approximately sickle-shaped with a thick wall as shown in FIG. The tip of the half-crescent-shaped blade portion 1a of this cutting member 1 is cut toward the root of the blade portion 1a to form a rake portion 2, while the inside of the blade portion 1a is composed of surfaces 3a and 3b that are mutually V-shaped. The cutting edge portion 3 becomes The cutting member 1 is guided by the guide members 4 and 5 as shown in FIG.
b is integrated with the guide members 4 and 5 so as to be sandwiched therebetween. The guide members 4 and 5 are bilaterally symmetrical and have protrusions 4a and 5a of the same shape and size on the handle 1b side, respectively, so that when the cutting member 1 is integrated as described above, A kind of groove 6 is formed. Furthermore, when the handle portion 1b is inserted between the guide members 4 and 5, the tip portion of the blade portion 1a is positioned at each end edge 4 of the guide members 4 and 5 when viewed from the side, as shown in FIG.
b, 5b so as to protrude by a length W. This length W will be described later, but it is slightly shorter than the thickness of the coating layer of the electric wire cable or the like to be cut.

To explain how to use the tape cutter having the above structure, as shown in FIG.
into the coating layer 7 of the cloth tape or the like to be cut into the electric wire cable, so that the respective edges 4b, 5b of the guide members 4, 5 are in contact with the surface of the coating layer 7 and the tangential direction of the coating layer 7 is Press it in by applying force in the direction of the arrow in the figure until it snaps out. After this, if force is further applied in the same direction to scoop up the coating layer 7 with the rake part 2, one end of the rake part 2 and the cutting edge part 3 will be separated by the coating layer 7 and the inner shielding copper tape 8, as shown in FIG. Get into the gap. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 6, since the coating layer 7 on both sides of the blade portion 1a is pressed down by the respective edges 4b and 5b of the guide members 4 and 5,
A certain degree of tension is generated in the scooped-up coating layer 7. Therefore, when this tape cutter is advanced along the outer periphery of the coating layer 7, the cutting edge portion 3 cuts only the coating layer 7.

As mentioned above, the tape cutter according to this invention has an extremely simple structure as is obvious at first glance, and its usage is simple and requires no special equipment or tools.
Also, the coating layer of electric wire cables, etc. can be easily cut without requiring any skill. In addition, as shown in FIG. 5, the rake section 2 scoops up the coating layer 7, and the inner cutting edge section 3 of the blade section 1a cuts it, so that only a portion of the coating layer 7 comes into contact with the internal shielding copper tape 8. It is a curved surface on the outside of the blade portion 1a, and there is no risk of damaging the shielding copper tape 8.

Note that the blade portion 1a is attached to each end edge 4b, 5 of the guides 4, 5.
b protrudes by a length W, and this length W must be slightly shorter than the thickness of the coating layer 7 to be cut, and in the above embodiment, this length W is secured in advance. However, if the cutting member 1 is made movable up and down with respect to the guide members 4 and 5 using bolts, for example, the length of W can be changed as appropriate, and the covering layer can be fixed. It is a versatile tape cutter that is not affected by the thickness of the tape. In the above embodiment, the structure of the electric wire cable to be cut was from the outermost periphery to the center, and then the cloth tape, then the shielding copper tape, but after cutting the cloth tape, the above-mentioned By following the same cutting procedure, only the shielding copper tape can be cut without damaging the underlying semiconductive tape, and similarly the semiconducting layer can be cut without damaging the underlying insulator. That is, the tape cutter according to this invention has different structures and types of coating layers depending on the type of electric wire cable (for example, in addition to cloth tape, shielding copper tape or semiconductive tape).
It can be used regardless of the layer, and it is possible to sequentially cut only the desired layer to be cut from the outer periphery.
