In addition to the above-mentioned paper feed tray into which a recording paper cassette can be inserted, this large-sized copying machine also has a paper feed tray that can store thousands of sheets of recording paper at once and feed these recording sheets one by one. Since it has a built-in paper device, you can use this paper feeding device when making large quantities of copies.

Introducing a large copying machine in such a case would result in the following burdens. That is, if the current scale of copying processing is not very large, the investment capital will be relatively high and the installation space of a large machine will be large, resulting in wasted space.

The purpose of the present invention is to propose a copying apparatus which can be increased in size and whose installation area does not significantly increase even when the recording paper supply capacity is increased. Specifically speaking, the same purpose is achieved by incorporating a large amount of paper into a part of the pedestal that protrudes from the main body of the copying machine, which is located below the loading section, and by providing an opening/closing lid in this part. To provide a copying apparatus which makes effective use of the space under the stand and which can easily remove the jammed recording paper even if it becomes jammed between the stand and the copying machine main body.

The cassette has a recording paper ejection opening facing the top surface thereof, and when the copying machine main body is placed, the cassette is stored using the lower part of the cassette that protrudes beyond the copying machine main body. The present invention proposes a copying apparatus that incorporates a lift that raises and lowers a large amount of recording paper, a paper feed unit that sends out the recording paper, and is combined with a pedestal that has a lid on the protrusion.

and a copying machine main body B that can be placed on this pedestal A if necessary. That is, the pedestal A is
When increasing the recording paper supply capacity of the copying machine main body B, it is shared with the copying machine main body B, so if the recording paper supply capacity of the copying machine main body B is sufficient, the copying machine main body B is used alone. Furthermore, positioning members 4 and 5 for receiving the legs 2 and 3 of the copying machine body B are fixed to the upper surface of the pedestal A in order to connect the pedestal A and the copying machine body B. Then, the bottom part of the copying machine main body B and the mount A
A pair of electrical connectors 6 and 7 are provided on the upper surface, and are connected to the main body B of the copying machine via these electrical connectors 6 and 7. Electrical coupling and information exchange between and the pedestal A is performed.

A recording paper path 18 is formed between the recording paper passages 10 and 10 . This recording paper path 18 is provided with either one of the paper feed trays 16 and 17 or the mount A mentioned above.
A paper feed roller 50 is positioned that feeds the recording paper a fed from the side paper feed device to the photosensitive drum 10. Therefore, as is clear from FIG. 1, the toner image on the photoreceptor drum 10 is transferred to the recording paper a fed to the photoreceptor drum 10 while passing through the transfer electrode 13, and this recording paper a is The sheet is transferred to a fixing device 20 by a belt 19, and after the toner image is fixed therein, it is taken out of the machine by the action of a sheet discharge roller 21.

If B and frame A are used together, operability is good. Therefore, the purchaser of the copying machine can first install only the copying machine main body B, and then install the mount A later in consideration of expanding the scale of copying processing and other needs. There is no need to place an economic burden on Then, the copying machine body B
Even when using the mount A and the stand A together, the installation area can be the same as that of a conventional small-sized copying machine, which is much more advantageous than installing a large-sized copying machine.
