(Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a surface protection material for protecting the surfaces of synthetic resin plates, metal plates, etc., which is made by coating one side of a paper base material with an adhesive. (Prior art and problems to be solved by the invention) The surface protection material is in the form of a sheet or tape with an adhesive coated on one side of the base material, such as an acrylic resin board, a polyvinyl chloride board, etc. In order to temporarily protect the surfaces of synthetic resin plates, stainless steel plates, aluminum plates, alumite plates, etc., it is pasted on the surfaces of these plates, subjected to various processing, and finally removed from the surfaces. It is to be peeled off and removed. Conventionally available surface protection materials consist of a paper base coated with a rubber or acrylic adhesive applied to one side, and a silicone or other adhesive applied to the back side (opposite to the adhesive-applied side) to prevent blocking. It was coated with a release agent and rolled up. Products with a release agent coated on the back surface may be stiff and difficult to adhere, or the release agent may migrate to the adhesive layer, which in turn may be transferred to the object to be adhered to, reducing wettability. There were problems that caused adhesive residue.
In addition, when applying surface protection materials to the various boards mentioned above, it is necessary to be in a humidified state at the time of application, but if there is a release agent layer on the back side, humidification is not possible, so the winding during the production of surface protection materials is It is necessary to humidify the paper substrate immediately before winding up to maintain a moisture content of 16 to 25% by weight. To do this, the moisture in the paper substrate acts on the adhesive during winding, causing the adhesive to deteriorate. This causes the adhesive and additives to remain transferred to the surface to be adhered to when peeled off after being applied to the surface to be adhered, and the adhesive strength to deteriorate due to evaporation of water. There were problems with uneven coating, and safety problems where the anti-mold agent mixed in to prevent the growth of mold leached out. Furthermore, there was a drawback that the manufacturing cost was high. In addition, with conventional surface protection materials, when the surface protection material is peeled off from the surface of the various boards, etc., the paper base material causes interlayer delamination, and a part of the paper base material remains on the surface to be pasted together with the adhesive. There was a drawback. An object of the present invention is to provide a surface protection material that eliminates the above problems and drawbacks. (Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention is a surface protection material formed by applying an adhesive to one side of a paper base material, and the paper base material conforms to JIS P-
Peeling characterized by having an interlayer peel strength according to 8139 of 50 g/50 mm or more, and a surface smoothness according to JIS P-8119 of 20 seconds or more on the adhesive coated side and 40 seconds or less on the back side. It is a surface protection material that does not have a coating layer. In the present invention, JIS P-8119 is used as the paper base material.
The surface smoothness of the adhesive applied surface is 20 seconds or more, and the surface smoothness of the back surface is 40 seconds or less. When such a paper base material is used, the adhesive coated surface is smooth, so the amount of adhesive coated can be reduced. On the other hand, since the surface smoothness of the back surface is as low as 40 seconds or less, there will be no blocking between the back surface and the adhesive coated surface when it is rolled up, so it is necessary to have a release agent layer on the back surface. do not have. Thus, since the surface protection material of the present invention does not have a release agent layer on the back surface, when this surface protection material is applied to the surface of an object, humidification can be applied from the back surface, and the above-mentioned conventional release agent layer It is possible to solve all the problems and drawbacks of surface protection materials having the above-mentioned properties, and also to be able to adhere beautifully to the surface of the object to be adhered. In addition, the paper base material used in the present invention is JIS P-8139
The delamination strength is 50g/50mm or more. When such a paper base material is used, when the surface protection material is peeled off from the surface to be adhered, the paper base material does not cause delamination, so a part of the paper base material remains on the surface to be adhered. It can be removed beautifully without any peeling. Next, the present invention will be specifically explained. Rubber on one side of paper substrates such as 25-120 g/ m2 kraft paper, glossy kraft paper, rolled paper, impregnated paper, semi-bleached kraft paper, etc., stored under normal conditions with a moisture content of 3-15% by weight. By using a suitable coating device, a known adhesive such as ethylene-propylene copolymer, acrylic polymer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, etc. is applied to a solid content of 3 to 50 g/m 2 . It is used as a surface protection material by coating and layering. The surface smoothness of the paper base material according to JIS P-8119 is 20 seconds or more on the adhesive coated side and 40 seconds or less on the back side. Note that, as a matter of course, it is preferable that the surface smoothness of the adhesive-applied surface is greater than that of the back surface (the adhesive-applied surface is made smoother than the back surface). Such surface smoothness can be obtained by calendering the front and back sides of the paper base material to a desired roughness. In addition, the delamination strength of the paper base material according to JIS P-8139 is 50g/50mm.
That's all. In order to increase this interlayer peel strength, the paper base material may be treated with melamine resin, urea resin, or the like. As mentioned above, the surface protection material of the present invention does not need to be humidified at the time of winding up, so the water content may be 15% by weight or less, and it can be coated with the adhesive layer as the inner surface by a conventional method. It is rolled up into lengths and packaged for distribution. When the surface protection material of the present invention is used as a surface protection material for the surface of an adherend such as a synthetic resin board such as an acrylic resin board or a vinyl chloride resin board, or a metal plate such as a stainless steel board, an aluminum board, or an alumite board, etc. , Humidify the paper base material of the surface protection material by an appropriate means from the back side, adjust the moisture content to 16 to 100% immediately before pasting, and incorporate air into the surface to be pasted by an appropriate means. After applying various types of processing, the surface protection material is finally peeled off and removed. In addition, if a paper base material with a surface strength of 7 or more according to JIS P-8129 (TAPPI standard method) is used, the anti-blocking effect will be greater, and if the sizing degree is 3 seconds or more, the adhesive will A suitable surface protection material was obtained in a small amount. In addition, the delamination strength according to JIS P-8139 is 50
If a paper base material of g/50mm or more is used, the surface protection material may peel between the layers when unwinding, or when the surface protection material is peeled off and removed from the surface to which it is applied, delamination may occur and the surface protection material may not adhere to the surface to which it is applied. Some of the adhesive and paper base material remain,
You may not be able to obtain a beautiful surface.
Also, if the surface smoothness of the adhesive-applied surface according to JIS P-8119 of the paper base material is 20 seconds or less, the amount of adhesive applied must be increased, and the surface smoothness of the back surface is 40 seconds or less.
If the time is longer than 2 seconds, the peelability of the back surface becomes poor and blocks during winding, making it impossible to peel and unwind. Examples and comparative examples are shown below. Example 1 The base paper basis weight is 40g/ m2 , the moisture content is 12% by weight, and the interlayer peel strength according to JIS P-8139 is 200.
g/50mm, the surface smoothness of the adhesive application side is 240 seconds according to JIS P-8119, the surface smoothness of the back side is 8 seconds, the surface strength is 10, and the size degree is 8 seconds. A surface protection material was obtained by applying 8 g/m 2 of an acrylic polymer adhesive to the adhesive-coated surface of paper. Example 2 The same paper as in Example 1 was used, except that the base paper basis weight was 50 g/m 2 and the surface smoothness of the adhesive coated side was 35 seconds and the surface smoothness of the back side was 30 seconds. A surface protection material was obtained by the same treatment as in Example 1. . Comparative Example 1 A paper having an interlayer peel strength of 20 g/50 mm and otherwise the same as in Example 1 was treated in the same manner as in Example 1 to obtain a surface protection material. Comparative Example 2 The surface smoothness of the adhesive-applied side was 15 seconds and the surface smoothness of the back surface was 80 seconds, and the paper was otherwise the same as in Example 1, and was treated in the same manner as in Example 1 to produce a surface protection material. I got it. The above Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 were evaluated for blocking properties during winding, bonding properties, and peelability from the surface of the adherend, and the evaluation results are shown in Table 1.

[Table] The surface protection material according to the present invention had good blocking properties during winding, adhesion properties, and peelability from the surface of an object to be adhered. On the other hand, when the layer had a peel strength of 20 g/50 mm, layer peeling occurred when peeled from the surface of the object to be adhered. Also, those with a back surface smoothness of 80 seconds caused blocking during winding. (Effects of the Invention) The present invention provides paper substrates for surface protection materials according to JIS standards.
The surface smoothness according to P-8119 is 20 seconds or more on the adhesive coated side, and the paper base material has a back surface smoothness of 40 seconds or less, so the adhesive coated surface is smooth. The amount of adhesive applied is small, and since the surface smoothness of the back surface is as small as 40 seconds or less, a release layer can be eliminated (no blocking occurs even without the release agent layer).
Therefore, the above-mentioned problems and drawbacks of conventional surface protection materials having a release layer can be solved. Furthermore, since there is no peeling layer, humidification during application is easy, and the adhesive can be applied beautifully to the surface of the object to be applied. In addition, in the present invention, the paper base material of the surface protection material has an interlayer peel strength of 50 according to JIS P-8139.
Since a paper base material with a diameter of g/50 mm or more is used, when the paper base material is peeled off and removed from the surface to be pasted, there will be no delamination between the layers, so a portion of the paper base material will remain on the surface to be pasted. It can be peeled off and removed beautifully without any damage. Therefore, the surface protection material of the present invention has excellent properties and is extremely useful.
