産業上の利用分野 本発明は、撹拌槽内部に冷却・加熱用のコイル
を有する撹拌装置に関するものである。 従来技術 粘度の高い液体は撹拌効率が悪いため、当該液
体を速やかに均一に加熱または冷却することは困
難である。そこで、高粘液体用の撹拌混合装置に
は、冷却または加熱効率を良くするために、撹拌
槽内部に冷却・加熱用コイルを配置する試みがな
されるが、この場合、撹拌翼の回転を妨害しない
ように撹拌翼の外側、撹拌槽の内壁面近くにコイ
ルを配置するものであつた。 発明の解決しようとする問題点 しかし、このような装置において、コイルに冷
却水を流すと、粘度の高い液体にあつては、コイ
ルと撹拌槽の内壁面の間に過冷却を生じ、この部
分の液体の粘度が上昇し、コイル付近の液体には
流動を生じなくなり、部分的に撹拌できなくなる
欠点があつた。 本発明は、冷却・加熱用のコイルを撹拌槽内部
に配置した撹拌装置において、粘度の高い液体を
効率良く冷却又は加熱しながら撹拌混合できる撹
拌装置を提供することを目的とする。 問題点を解決するための手段 本発明の装置は、中央に回転軸を有する円筒型
撹拌槽の内部に、回転軸を中心とし、かつ撹拌槽
の内壁面から一定間隔をあけて、冷却・加熱用コ
イルが吊り下げて配置されているものであつて、
錨型に形成されてた撹拌翼が回転軸に取りつけら
れており、撹拌翼の上方に延びた先端部が冷却・
加熱用コイルと撹拌槽の内壁面の間に回転可能な
状態で位置することを特徴とする。 即ち、本発明では、従来粘度の高い液体の撹拌
混合において、冷却時には撹拌効率を害するもの
とされていた冷却・加熱用コイルを、撹拌翼を当
該コイルと撹拌槽内壁の間で回転可能とすること
によつて、邪魔板の如く利用し、粘度の高い液体
にあつても撹拌効率を著しく増し、非常に効率の
良い冷却または加熱混合を可能とする。 撹拌槽の下方外周には、常法通り冷却・加熱用
ジヤケツトが取りつけられてよく、この場合撹拌
翼の回転軸への着脱を容易にするために、撹拌槽
を上下に二分割可能に形成し、撹拌槽上部の壁面
又は撹拌槽の蓋に冷却・加熱用コイルを吊り下
げ、撹拌槽下部に冷却・加熱用ジヤケツトを取り
つけるとよい。 なお、撹拌翼は、実質的に水平に延びた、中央
の回転軸への取りつけ手段を有する棒状部分の両
端に垂直方向及び/又は水平方向に一定の角度で
傾斜させて上向きに長方形の翼を取りつけたもの
とすることによつて、撹拌時の液体の流れを上向
きとし、粘度の高い液体の撹拌効率をより高める
ことができる。撹拌翼の上記回転軸と上記棒状部
分を含む垂直面からの折曲角度は35〜50゜程度で
あるのが好ましく、また同垂直面に対する傾斜角
度は5〜20゜程度であるのが好ましい。 次に、図面に従つて本発明の実施例を説明す
る。 第1図の装置は、円筒型撹拌槽1の中央に回転
軸3を有し、この回転軸3を中心として撹拌槽1
の内壁面6から一定間隔をあけて冷却・加熱用コ
イル2が取りつけられ、回転軸3の先端には錨型
の撹拌翼4が取りつけられているものである。 撹拌槽1は上下に二分割可能に形成されてお
り、撹拌槽上部8の壁面に冷却・加熱用コイル2
が吊り下げられ、撹拌槽下部9の外周には冷却・
加熱用ジヤケツト7が取りつけられている。ま
た、回転軸3は、上方に位置するモーター(図示
していない)によつて駆動可能な状態で蓋10に
取りつけられており、当該回転軸3によつて回転
する撹拌翼4の上方に延びた先端部5は冷却・加
熱用コイル2と撹拌槽1の内壁面6の間に位置す
る。 撹拌槽1に入れた液体はジヤケツト7及びコイ
ル2に導入される水または加熱蒸気によつて二重
に冷却又は加熱しながら、撹拌翼4によつて撹拌
混合されるものであるが、撹拌翼4の先端部5が
コイル2と撹拌槽1の内壁面6の間に位置するた
め、500〜50000cpsの粘度の高い液体であつても、
非常に効率良く撹拌でき、短時間で全体の均一な
混合及び熱交換が可能となる。 なお、このような撹拌装置において、撹拌翼4
の角度を垂直方向及び/又は水平方向に変化させ
ると、撹拌効率は一定で、動力を減少できる利点
がある。 25℃における粘度3000opsのCMC水溶液に着色
チツプを投入し、第2図及び第3図に示すA,
B,C3種の撹拌翼4を用いた第1図の装置で撹
拌翼4の回転数を変えて撹拌し、均一な撹拌がな
される(着色チツプが全体に均一に分散される)
迄の時間を測定した。その結果を第1表に示す。 撹拌翼A,B,Cはいずれも、実質的に水平に
延びた、中央に回転軸3への取りつけ手段を有す
る棒状部分11の両端に、第1図の撹拌翼4とほ
ぼ同様の長方形の翼12を上向けに取りつけたも
のであるが、Aの二枚の翼12は回転軸3と棒状
部分11を含む垂直面に対して上端を前後に15゜
の角度で倒して取りつけられており、Bの二枚の
翼12は上記垂直面に対して外側辺を45゜の角度
で左右に捩じつて取りつけられており、Cの二枚
の翼12は上記垂直面に対して上端を前後に15゜
の角度で倒すと同時に外側辺を45゜の角度で左右
に捩じつて取りつけられているものである。
