ケツトに於ける振動減衰具であつて、その目的と
する所は、打球直径に於けるガツトの振動を減衰
又は吸収することができ、手のしびれを可及的に
少くすることのできる手段を提供するにあり、又
他の目的とする所は、ガツトを構成する線材に取
着し易く、而も取着後はしつかりと装着されてい
てテニスプレイ中の脱落等がほとんど生じない振
動減衰具を提供するにある。

4及び7が帯状体1を線材F1,F2,F3……
間に取着する為の係合手段の機能を成す。これに
より振動減衰具の一例を得る。もつとも上記係合
手段としての一方と他方の端の突条は一条ではな
く、複数であつてもよい。例えば第3図に示した
ものは一方の端2の近傍の上面3に2本の突条
8,9を形成し、他方の端5の近傍の下面6に2
本の突条10,11を形成したものであり、又第
4図の例は一方の端2の近傍の上面に3本の突条
12,13,14を形成し、同様に他方の端5の
近傍の下面に3本の突条15,16,17を形成
した例を示したものである。

の下に通し、突条4を線材F2に係合せしめる。
又線材F6の外にある他方の端を下へ折返えすと
ともに線材F5の上に通し突条7を線材F5に係
合せしめる。これによりゴム製の帯状体は緊張し
た状態で線材F1〜F6間に装着される。このよ
うな場合、打球した時にガツトGを構成する各線
材F1,F2……が振動するが、各線材F1,F
2……にはゴム製の帯状体1が装着していて振動
に対して抵抗となつているので振動は強制的に減
衰せしめられるものであり、打球時に於ける手の
しびれ等が可及的に防止されるものである。而し
て、帯状体1が各線材F1〜F6間に装着してい
るといつても、線材を強制的に一方へ寄せつけた
り、線材に無理な力を加えたりするものではな
く、帯状体1自体が伸縮して線材間に装着してい
るものであるから、線材の当初に設定された反発
弾性を弱めるようなことはほとんどないものであ
る。又、上記の例に於いてはゴム製の帯状体1の
左右両端近傍に設ける係合手段を突状体にて示し
たが、第7図に示す如く、繊維を植えた形の面フ
アスナ19,19を用いた係合手段としてもよ
く、場合によつてはボタンのような係合手段でも
よい。
