できず、このため蓮根堀りは昔からの道具、即ち

堀るカイカキなどを使つて丁寧に堀つていくのが
現状である。そして一面の泥田の中では足がぬか
るみに取られるため「あゆみ板」と呼ばれる板を
一枚一枚つなぎ合せて道を作つて堀り進んで行く
ものである。このため作業は重労働で根気のいる
仕事であつた。

させながら堀り進むものであつて、蓮根自体の軽
さを利用して土中に堀まつている蓮根を強力に噴
射する噴射水が蓮根を堀り起すと蓮根は自然に浮
き上つてこれを収穫する自動蓮根堀り機を提供す
るものである。

もので造られている。2はフロート1に塔載した
エンジンであり、3はエンジン2によつて駆動す
るワイヤー8を捲回するウインチである。このワ
イヤー8は圃場の畦に打込んだ杭9に一端を結着
してエンジン2を駆動してウインチ3を回動さす
とワイヤー8がウインチによつて捲取られこれに
よつてフロート1が走行するものである。4はフ
ロート1の後部に装着したレールであつて、フロ
ートの走行方向と直角の方向に適当の長さで張出
すように装着する。5はレール4上を左右に往復
移動する噴射ノズルであり、フロート1上にワイ
ヤー8の引張り方向と同一直線上に設けた給水用
の主管6にビニールホースで連結されている。こ
の給水用の主管6の他端は圃場の別の位置の畦に
堀つた井戸Cから連接したビニールホース6′に
接続してなるものである。又図中の符号7は給水
用主管6の基部で切換バルブの操作によつて使用
される補助ノズルであつて、通常はノズル5で作
業を行つているが蓮根の堀り残しが生じた場合に
切換バルブを補助ノズル側にして手作業で堀るも
のである。本発明の蓮根堀り機は上述のようにフ
ロート1上に諸装置を塔載していて、エンジンの
駆動によりウインチのワイヤーの捲き取りノズル
からの水の噴射が同時に作動して作業が開始され
る。第3図のイ,ロは実施例図であつて、ロは実
施例図であつて、イ、平面図をし、ロ平面図を示
し、ロは同様側面図を示している。図において理
解される如く、ワイヤー8の捲き取りによつてフ
ロート1は矢印A方向に進むものであるが、この
際本発明にあつては噴射ノズル5がこのフロート
1の進行方向Aと直角に装置されているレール4
上を矢印Bのように左右に往復動し、しかも給水
用の主管6が前記ワイヤー8の引張り方向と同一
直線上に固定されているため、フロートはその位
置によつて蛇曲する井戸Cからビニールホース
6′の抵抗を受けることなく直進することができ
て蓮根の堀りむらが生じない。

越した効果を奏するものであつて、蓮根堀り作業
に顕著な実積をもたらすものと信ずる。

る蓮根堀り機。
