【考案の詳細な説明】 〈技術分野〉 本考案は配線接続構造の問題と採光の問題との
両方を解決した透過型液晶表示装置に関する。

〈従来技術〉 従来、透過型液晶表示装置は第1図の如き構造
が採用された。同図で1は液晶セル、2は偏光
板、3はゴムコネクター、4はプリント配線基板
である。プリント配線基板4の液晶セル1に面す
る位置には透孔5が形成され該透孔5の背後に光
源6が配される。光源6から発せられた光は透孔
5を介して液晶セル1に達し表示パターンを視認
化せしめる。第2図は他の従来構造の透過型液晶
表示装置を斜め方向より見た斜視図である。液晶
セル1とプリント配線基板4の間の配線接続をフ
レキシブル配線基板7にて行なつている。第1図
及び第2図から明らかな様に従来の透過型液晶表
示装置ではプリント配線基板4の液晶セル1に面
する位置に透孔5が形成され、液晶セル1からの
配線接続はセルの周囲へ回していた。この為装置
全体の形状が大型化し省スペース化を計る事が困
難であつた。

〈目的〉 本考案は以上の従来問題点を解決する為になさ
れたものであり、液晶セルに対する照明光の取り
入れ構造に工夫を施こし、装置全体の形状を小型
化することを目的とする。

〈実施例〉 以下本考案に係る透過型液晶表示装置の実施例
について説明を行なう。

第3図は本考案に係る透過型液晶表示装置の一
実施例を示すものであり、計算機に透過型液晶表
示装置を組み込んでいる。同図aは側面断面図、
同図bは一部斜視図である。液晶セル1の両側に
偏光板2が接着される。5は支持フードであり、
該支持フード5の一端にキー入力部6が形成され
る。7は照明光導入の為のプリズムであり、該プ
リズム7の上面に位置する支持フード5には透孔
8が形成され該透孔8から点印で示される光が入
射される。上記プリズム7の液晶セル1に対面す
る面上にはIn2O3、SnO2等の透明導電膜からなる
透明配線7aが施こされる。液晶セル1の電極端
子はゴムコネクター3及びプリズム7上の透明配
線7aを介してプリント配線基板4に接続され
る。上記プリズム7の材質は例えばガラス、プラ
スチツク等からなる。又このプリズム7の色は透
明でもよく、あるいは適切な着色(液晶表示パタ
ーンの背景色として好ましい薄く明るい色がよ
い。)を施こしてもよい。更に上記プリズム7の
後面AにA、Ag、Hg等の金属膜を被着してそ
の被着膜を反射膜とすれば、液晶セル1への入射
光量を増加し得る。以上の構造によれば照明光導
入用に設置されたプリズム7が配線基板の一部と
して機能するものであり、その為従来の透過型液
晶表示装置の様に配線基板に窓をあける必要が無
く、従つて配線接続の為のリード引き回わしが容
易である。尚、プリズム7の透明配線7aを介し
て表示部の上部に回路配線を施こす構造も可能で
ある。

らなる透明配線が施こされ、液晶セル1の電極端
子はゴムコネクター3及び透明板9上の透明配線
を介してプリント配線基板(図示せず)に接続さ
れる。尚、第5図の如く透明板9の背後に表示パ
ターン、絵模様を形成したカラフイルター10を
配置しても構わない。
