Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the reading defects caused by the temperature characteristics of a memory medium by using a temperature setting circuit and a temperature detection control circuit by setting a range of temperatures when a writing action is applied to a memory medium of an external memory device. CONSTITUTION:A temperature measuring circuit 6 which measures the ambient temperatures of an FDD 5 transmits the voltage proportional to a relevant temperature as a temperature signal. A temperature detection control circuit 7 decides the output signal received from the circuit 6 and transmits a write inhibiting signal to a central processing part 3 outside a set range of temperatures. When a data writing instruction is inputted to the FDD 5 from a keyboard 2, the part 3 decides whether the write inhibiting signal outside the set temperature range is transmitted from the circuit 7 or not. If so, the part 3 gives no writing instruction to an FDC 4. Thus the reading defects can be eliminated.
