When painting an object with a spray gun, if you release the oversprayed paint as it is,
Since paint mist and odor are diffused and cause air pollution, conventionally the oversprayed paint is sucked up by an exhaust fan and passed through a water curtain installed in the middle of the exhaust passage to eliminate the above problems. Efforts were being made to remove paint mist and odors.

FIG. 1 shows a side cross-sectional view of a shower-type paint collection device, which is a typical example of the above-mentioned removal device. 4 is a ventilation fan chamber provided in the upper part of the exhaust chamber 2, 5 is a motor for the exhaust fan, 6 is a water tank provided below the exhaust chamber 2, and 7 is a ventilation fan chamber provided in the water tank 6. Strainer provided, 8
The water curtain shown by the arrow W is formed at the suction port 2a of the exhaust chamber 2 by causing water supplied from the water tank 6 through the strainer 7 by a pump (not shown) to overflow along the partition wall 3. In the overflow chamber, 9 is a nozzle that spouts water pumped from the water tank 6 into the middle of the exhaust chamber 2 to form a shower curtain denoted by S, and 10 is an eliminator.

The conventional collecting device configured as described above collects oversprayed paint when a painted object 11 suspended in a booth 1 is spray-painted using a spray gun 12 by the suction action of an exhaust fan. After primary collection through the water curtain W, secondary and tertiary collection is performed through the shower curtain S and eliminator 10. Therefore, most of the paint mist and odor can be collected.

However, the shower curtain type collection device described above has the problem that the paint mist passes between the fine water particles ejected from the nozzle 9 and cannot be completely collected. Since the shower curtain S circulates the water filtered by the strainer 7, after long-term use, the fine paint mist that cannot be filtered by the strainer 7 will gradually block the spout holes of the nozzle 9, causing the shower to become completely dry. There was a problem in which the curtain S could not be formed.

Further, in the case of the collection device using the water curtain W described above, there was a problem in that water falling into the water tank 6 splashed onto the painting section side in the booth 1 and wet the painting object 11, damaging the painting.

The present invention has been devised in view of the above-mentioned points, and its purpose is to reliably collect oversprayed paint using an extremely simple configuration, and to eliminate circulation mixed with paint mist. Even when water is used as a collection curtain water, it can continue to exhibit the same collection effect for a long time without causing clogging etc., and it has also been devised so that the water in the water curtain does not splash onto the painted area. In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has a partition wall that partitions an exhaust chamber that sucks oversprayed paint and is bent inward. Inside the exhaust chamber, a multi-stage water curtain device is provided that causes the water overflowing from the overflow tank to flow down alternately in the inside and outside of the exhaust chamber, and the suction paint is passed through these multi-stage water curtains. It is configured so that it can be collected.

The overflow chamber 30 provided above the exhaust chamber 21
These include a water supply port 31 that supplies water sent through the water supply pipe 28 into the overflow chamber 30, and a rectifying plate 32 that rectifies the supplied water and causes it to uniformly overflow from the upper end 22a of the partition wall 22. The water overflowing and falling along the partition wall 22 toward the water tank 25 forms a water curtain shown by an arrow W at the lower end suction port 21a of the exhaust chamber 21. Further, in the illustrated embodiment, the lower end 22b of the partition wall 22 is bent inward to prevent the water curtain W falling into the water tank 25 from splashing toward the painting section of the booth 20.

That is, in the figure, 40 is an overflow gutter that is installed horizontally in the middle of the exhaust chamber 21 so as to cross the exhaust passage.
Reference characters a and 40a indicate guide plates that are connected diagonally downward to the left and right upper edges of the overflow gutter 40. Also, 41,
Reference numeral 41 denotes a rectifying plate attached to both sides of the inside of the overflow gutter 40, and the water sent through the water supply pipe 28 is supplied to the inside of the overflow gutter 40 from the water supply port 42.
After being rectified by the rectifier plates 41, 41, the upper water curtain W3 crosses over the left and right guide plates 40a, 40a, respectively, and cuts off the exhaust passage diagonally downward.
The structure is such that the water overflows (see Figure 4).

Next, reference numerals 43, 43 are first water flow plates provided at the left and right lower portions of the overflow gutter 40 in a diagonally downwardly inclined state, and these left and right first water flow plates 43, 43 are as follows:
Each upper water curtain W3 that overflows and falls along the guide plates 40a, 40a of the overflow gutter 40,
By guiding the flow down diagonally in the opposite direction toward the left and right inclined surfaces 44a, 44a of the water distribution plate 44 having a triangular cross section and extending across the lower side of the overflow gutter 40, so as to block the exhaust passage, as shown in FIG. In this, a middle water curtain W2, each designated by the reference numeral W2, is constructed.

Since the collection device according to the present invention has the configuration described above, by driving the exhaust fan, a suction effect is exerted on the booth 20 through the exhaust chamber 21, and at the same time, by driving the pump 27, the water in the water tank 25 is circulated. The painted object 50 suspended in the booth 20 is sprayed while forming water curtains W, W1, W2, W3 that block the exhaust passage at the suction port 21a of the exhaust chamber 21 and inside the exhaust chamber 21, respectively. When painting with the gun 51, the air containing the oversprayed paint mist is suctioned by the exhaust fan and passes through each of the water curtains W to W3 in turn, where the paint mist and odor are gradually cleaned and collected. Finally, it becomes purified air and is exhausted to the atmosphere.

As explained above, according to the spray paint collection device according to the present invention, a multi-stage water curtain can be formed in the exhaust chamber, so that the oversprayed spray paint can be passed through the water curtain in order. It can collect and remove paint mist and odors, so it has a much better collection effect than conventional shower-type collection devices, and since it does not use any nozzles, it can remove fine paint mist. Even when using circulating water containing water, there is no problem of clogging, and the water curtain has the advantage of maintaining a stable collection effect for a long period of time. In addition, the structure is simple and easy to implement, making it highly practical for use in various water-washable painting booths.
