Abstract

PURPOSE:To perfectly eliminate a step part from the surface of a platen without controlling the depth of a rubber part mount groove and the thickness of a rubber part with high accuracy by a method wherein the rubber part having a printing pressure receiving surface is adhered and fixed to the rubber part mount groove of a rigid metal part prepared by die casting to be subjected to polishing finish simultaneously with the metal part. CONSTITUTION:A metal part 11 having a paper guide 11a and a rubber part mount groove 11b is prepared by die casting. Next, a rubber part 12 made of rubber having elasticity is mounted to the rubber part mount groove 11b of the metal part 11 to be adhered and fixed thereto by an adhesive. Thereafter, the rubber part 12 and the metal part 11 are simultaneously subjected to polishing finish to make the surface of the metal part 11 flush with the printing pressure receiving surface of the rubber part so as not to generate a step part between both surfaces. Therefore, when paper runs, it can be prevented that the end of the paper impinges against the step part to be bent and it is unnecessary to control the depth of the rubber part mount groove and the thickness of the rubber part with high accuracy and, therefore, manufacturing cost can be reduced.

[Prior Art] In the conventional structure of this type of flat platen, the flat platen was a metal product made by die-casting or sheet metal. Then, if necessary, a thin plate-like rubber part was bonded to the surface of the flat platen to cushion the impact. At this time, the surface of the metal part and the surface of the rubber part of the flat grating are made to be on the same surface so as not to interfere with paper running.

In order to keep the surface of the metal part of the flat platen and the surface of the rubber part on the same surface, in conventional flat grates, a rubber part mounting bowl is provided on the surface of the metal part of the flat platen, and the rubber part is mounted inside the rubber part mounting cup. Glue and fix the parts with adhesive,
On the other hand, the depth of the rubber part attachment depth and the thickness of the rubber part were controlled with high precision.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] In the structure of the conventional flat platen described above, the rubber part that directly receives printing pressure and the metal part that serves as a guide surface when paper is running are on the same surface. The depth of the rubber part and the thickness of the rubber part had to be controlled with high precision, but the combination of the two parts sometimes created a step on the surface.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention solves the above-mentioned conventional problems and eliminates the need to control the depth of the rubber part mounting groove and the thickness of the rubber part with high precision from the surface of the flat grating. The purpose of this invention is to provide a flat platen structure that completely eliminates steps, and in order to achieve this purpose, the flat platen of the present invention, which receives the printing pressure of the printing device, has a paper guide and a rubber part mounting groove. A rigid metal part manufactured by die-casting etc., and a rubber part of the metal part that is bonded and fixed with an adhesive in the groove, and polished at the same time as the metal part so that it is flush with the surface of the metal part. A rubber portion having a print pressure receiving surface.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, the structure of the flat platen of the present invention includes a paper guide and a rubber part mounting hole, and a rigid metal part manufactured by die casting or the like, and a rubber part mounting groove in the metal part. The rubber part is bonded and fixed with a contact IF agent, and the rubber part has a printing pressure receiving surface that is polished at the same time as the metal part and is flush with the surface of the metal part, so it is easy to install the rubber part. It is possible to completely eliminate the level difference from the surface of the flat platen without having to control the depth and the thickness of the rubber part with high precision, and prevent the edge of the paper from hitting the level difference and bending when the paper runs. At the same time, since there is no need to control the depth of the rubber part mounting hole and the thickness of the rubber part with high precision, the manufacturing cost can also be reduced.
