[Problem to be solved by the invention] Because poultry such as chickens swallow feed with their mouths, it is difficult for them to ingest liquid or slurry feed, and conventional compound feed and mixed feed cannot be converted into solid feed. I didn't get it. Therefore, there is a problem in that it is difficult to use ethyl alcohol, which is a high energy source, as a nutrient component, except when incorporating trace amounts of liquid components such as vitamins and drugs. The present invention was made under these circumstances, and its purpose is to make it possible for poultry to efficiently ingest ethyl alcohol, a high energy source, by utilizing the absorbability of absorbent polymer substances. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a new poultry feed.

As mentioned above, ethyl alcohol has excellent properties as a feed ingredient, but since it is a liquid, it is difficult to efficiently ingest it into chickens and the like as described above. Therefore, the present inventors investigated a method for efficiently ingesting ethyl alcohol, specifically, a method for solidifying it. As a result, we came up with the idea of incorporating ethyl alcohol into the absorbent polymer material. The absorbent polymer used in the present invention may be one that has the property of absorbing ethyl alcohol and is harmless to poultry; however, when a liquid is added, it instantly absorbs and swells to form a gel. Most preferred are absorbent polymeric materials with properties. Specifically, natural products such as alginic acid, starch, or chitosan, or polyacrylates,
Examples include synthetic polymeric substances such as isobutylene/maleate-based, starch/polyacrylate-based, polyvinyl alcohol-based, polyvinyl alcohol/polyacrylate-based, polyethylene oxide-based, and carboxymethylcellulose-based. By absorbing ethyl alcohol into such an absorbent polymer substance and forming a gel, it is possible to freely adjust the shape, size, and hardness of the material to make it easier for chickens and other poultry to swallow.
Even liquid ethyl alcohol can be easily used as poultry feed.

When ethyl alcohol is to be absorbed into an absorbent polymer substance, it is preferable to make the ethyl alcohol into an aqueous solution. This is because if only ethyl alcohol is absorbed, the strong aroma of ethyl alcohol may actually cause a decrease in the poultry's appetite. The concentration of the ethyl alcohol aqueous solution is generally recommended to be 0.1 to 50% by weight. The amount of ethyl alcohol absorbed by an absorbent polymeric substance is not particularly determined, and varies depending on the type of absorbent polymeric substance, absorption capacity, type of feed constituents used in combination as necessary, type of poultry, and growth rate. They differ depending on various factors. However, if too much of the aqueous solution is absorbed, the poultry becomes too soft and loses its appetite.

A 15% by weight aqueous solution of ethyl alcohol was added to a +n absorbent polymer substance [Aqualic CA (registered trademark): manufactured by Nippon Shokubai Chemical Co., Ltd.] at 125 times, 64 times, and 1 time, respectively.
The mixture was made to absorb water 8 times to produce a red gelled product with different hardness (average particle size: 4+n+n), which was given to chickens to test their preference. According to the results, it was found that even if the particle size was the same, people preferred to slurp harder gelled products than softer gelled ones. Therefore, the amount of ethyl alcohol blended must be within a range that can maintain appropriate hardness.

Such feed additives are expensive and are typically added in small amounts. However, ethyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol aqueous solution generally dissolves many of these additives, so if these additives are dissolved in ethyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol aqueous solution in advance and blended into the absorbent polymer material, the additives can be dissolved. The formulation of
As a result, these additives can be ingested without waste. This can be done very effectively, especially when administering drugs. Conventionally, the only option was to mix the drug in the form of a powder, and given that there was wide variation in the intake of poultry and it was necessary to mix the drug in a larger amount than necessary to achieve the desired effect. The effects of the invention are groundbreaking in this aspect as well.

Poultry such as chickens seem to have likes and dislikes regarding colors, and depending on the color of the feed, they may or may not like it. For this reason, poultry such as chickens are preferred by coloring the absorbent polymer material, or by coloring the gelled product made by absorbing ethyl alcohol or an aqueous ethyl alcohol solution into the absorbent polymer material. It can be used as feed.

Also, when the feed obtained in this way started to warm up,
As a result of investigating the feed intake and egg production rate given to a certain number of chickens during a certain period of time, it was found that there was little fluctuation in intake, growth was good, and egg production rate was stable. It was day. In addition, it was observed that the chickens were less likely to strike each other and the stress caused by group rearing was reduced.

Furthermore, in the summer season from July to August, a comparison was made between feeding chickens only conventional feed and feeding them a feed containing 2% of the above-mentioned gelled product type 5 in addition to conventional feed. The king of feeds is 10 to 20% more feeds containing gelatinized materials.
The egg-laying rate was 0.6 eggs/bird/day for the batter, while it was 0.8 eggs/bird/day for the latter.
