Description
本発明は防炎性タフテツドカーペツト裏打ち用
接着剤組成物に関する。さらに詳しくは、高分子
ラテツクスに対して沸石を含有してなる防炎性タ
フテツドカーペツト裏打ち用接着剤組成物に関す
る。
近年、カーペツトは生活様式の変化に伴ない家
庭の中へ、あるいはオフイス、ホテル、病院、学
校、図書館等の公共の場所へそのすぐれた保温
性、防音性、防じん性とともに豊かな色彩感、高
級感を持つたインテリアとして次々に導入される
ようになつた。またパイルあるいは裏打ち剤に特
殊な加工をほどこした防汚性、防虫防菌性、制電
性あるいは防臭性をもたせた多種多様な形態のカ
ーペツトが市場に登場するにいたり、生活に密着
した家具類といつてもさしつかえない状態となり
つつある。特に公共の場所においてはしきつめ加
工による建物全体としてのその実用性とともに高
級感を持たせることに大きな効果があることはい
なめない。
しかしながらしきつめ加工であるが故に、カー
ペツトに火源が接触し着火した後カーペツトそれ
自体が火源となり燃えひろがり大惨事をまねくと
いつた事例がおこりうる可能性が大となつた。昭
和53年11月1日にじゆうたん等床敷物について防
炎規制の対象となり、消防法施行令の改正がなさ
れ、昭和54年7月1日より施行された。そのため
当業者の間では、パイルに防炎処理をほどこし、
もえにくいパイル材質を用いたり、あるいは裏打
ち用接着剤組成物に難燃剤を配合させる等の方法
を用いて、カーペツト全体での防炎性向上を図つ
ている。
本発明者らは鋭意検討を重ねた結果、高分子ラ
テツクスに対して沸石を特定量含有してなる接着
剤組成物が、極めて優れた防炎性をタフテツドカ
ーペツトに付与できることおよび同時にタフテツ
ドカーペツトの乾燥時のブリスターの発生が極め
て少ないことを見い出し、本発明を完成した。
本発明に用いられる高分子ラテツクスとしては
スチレン−ブタジエン共重合体ラテツクス、メチ
ルメタクリレート−ブタジエン共重合体ラテツク
ス、ポリブタジエンラテツクス、アクリロニトリ
ル−ブタジエン共重合体ラテツクス、アクリロニ
トリル−スチレン−ブタジエン共重合体ラテツク
ス、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体ラテツクス、
エチレン−塩化ビニル共重合体ラテツクス、塩化
ビニル重合体ラテツクス、塩化ビニリデン重合体
ラテツクス、塩化ビニル−アクリレート共重合体
ラテツクス、クロロプレンなどがあげられる。こ
れらのラテツクスはカルボキシル基、水酸基、N
−メチロール基、アミド基、グリシジル基などが
含まれていても良い。またこれらの高分子ラテツ
クスは一種又は二種以上で使用される。
本発明で使用される沸石は主要化学成分が
SiO2、Al2O3、Fe2O3、CaO、Na2O、K2Oおよび
H2Oであり、産地により多少成分の違いがみら
れる。
沸石は高分子ラテツクス固形分100重量部に対
して50乃至800重量部で使用され、好ましくは100
乃至500重量部で使用される。50重量部未満では
防炎性および耐ブリスター性が劣り、800重量部
を越えても効果は増加しない。
本発明のタフテツドカーペツト裏打ち用接着剤
は一般に添加されている乳化剤、安定剤、分散
剤、老化防止剤、加硫剤、加硫促進剤、架橋剤、
消泡剤、防腐剤、着色剤、増粘剤、帯電防止剤お
よび炭酸カルシウム等の無機充填剤を用いること
ができる。
以下に実施例を挙げ本発明を具体的に説明する
が本発明は実施例によりなんら限定されない。
実施例 1
表−1に示す組成の接着剤組成物を作成し、パ
イルがポリエステルでパイル長7mmの1/10インチ
ゲージカツトパイルカーペツト裏面に1m2あたり
固形分で1000gを均一に塗布し7オンスジユート
を圧着した。
防炎性:未乾燥カーペツトを温度120℃で25分間
乾燥した。得られた加工反を消防法施行規則第
4条の3に準じ、床敷物防炎性能試験を行なつ
た。その結果を表−2に示す。
耐ブリスター性:未乾燥カーペツトを温度170℃
熱風速度20m/secの乾燥機を用いて3分間乾
燥させ、発生したブリスターを肉眼にて観察し
下記の級別にて判定した。
1級:ブリスターの発生が全く認められない。

8級:ブリスターが全面に多く発生している。
結果を表−2に示す。
This invention relates to flame retardant tufted carpet backing adhesive compositions. More particularly, the present invention relates to a flame retardant tufted carpet backing adhesive composition comprising zeolite to a polymeric latex. In recent years, as lifestyles have changed, carpets have been introduced into homes and public places such as offices, hotels, hospitals, schools, libraries, etc., with their excellent heat retention, soundproofing and dustproofing properties, as well as their rich colors and luxury. It began to be introduced one after another as an interior design with a sense of style. In addition, a wide variety of carpets have appeared on the market, with piles or backing materials treated with special treatments to make them stain-proof, insect-proof, anti-bacterial, anti-static, or odor-proof. However, the situation is becoming increasingly difficult. Particularly in public places, it cannot be overstated that the use of shingle finishing has a great effect on giving the building as a whole a sense of luxury as well as practicality. However, because of the tightening process, there is a high possibility that a fire source may come into contact with the carpet, ignite it, and then the carpet itself becomes a source of fire, causing the carpet to spread and cause a catastrophe. On November 1, 1973, floor coverings such as carpets became subject to flame-retardant regulations, and the Fire Service Act Enforcement Order was revised and came into effect on July 1, 1974. Therefore, among those skilled in the art, fireproofing is applied to the pile.
The flame retardant properties of the carpet as a whole are improved by using pile materials that do not easily burn or by incorporating flame retardants into the backing adhesive composition. As a result of extensive studies, the present inventors have found that an adhesive composition containing a specific amount of zeolite in a polymer latex can impart extremely excellent flame retardant properties to tufted carpets, and at the same time provide tufted carpets with excellent flame resistance. The present invention was completed based on the discovery that the occurrence of blisters when drying carpet is extremely low. Polymer latexes used in the present invention include styrene-butadiene copolymer latex, methyl methacrylate-butadiene copolymer latex, polybutadiene latex, acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer latex, acrylonitrile-styrene-butadiene copolymer latex, and ethylene. -vinyl acetate copolymer latex,

EXAMPLES The present invention will be specifically explained below with reference to Examples, but the present invention is not limited in any way by the Examples. Example 1 An adhesive composition having the composition shown in Table 1 was prepared, and 1000 g of solid content per 1 m 2 was uniformly applied to the back side of a 1/10 inch cut pile carpet with a polyester pile and a pile length of 7 mm.
