ールワツシヤーに関する。

ルワツシヤーが知られている。一般的なものとし
ては第1図に示すごとく、断面で逆L字形状の補
強環1を用い、その下部に該逆L字形状補強環1
が抱含しうるドーナツツ状の弾性体2を設けて密
封を図つていたが、この構造のシールワツシヤー
ではボルト等で締付けたとき逆L字形状補強環1
の外周端に設けた傘部3下方より弾性体2が横流
れを起し充分な密着力を持たないばかりか該横流
れ変形した弾性体2を長期間使用すると弾性体疲
労によるトルクダウンが発生して弾性力を弱め密
封性を極端に悪化させていたし再使用を全く受付
けないものとなるなど多くの欠点があつた。

垂下する傘部3寸法及び中心から該傘部3までの
寸法は下部の弾性体2のトルクと変形量を左右し
密封性に大きく影響を及ぼすものであり自と限ら
れた形状となる。また昨今求められる防振、防音
対策に付いても弾性体2は充分なボリユームを必
要とし前記した横流れする欠点をさらに増加させ
る傾向にある。

に傘部3を備える金属製補強環Aを具備し、該補
強環Aの下方に合成ゴムまたは合成樹脂等の弾性
体で形成されたシール部4を配置したシールワツ
シヤーであつて、該シール部4は下方に連なる凸
出シール輪4aを有すると共に内側中央にボルト
挿入穴5を備えかつ該シール部4の胴部に平形状
で該平形状内周端に下向き傘部6を備えるワツシ
ヤーBを挿設し一体化した構造である。この構造
は第2図で示すごとく、傘部3を外周端に備えた
金属製補強環AがワツシヤーB上部のシール部4
を外方より抱きかかえる形状に構成することが好
ましくシール部4の胴部に挿設されるワツシヤー
Bの傘部6内径は少なくともシール部4のボルト
挿入穴5より大径に構成し、該シール部凸出シー
ル輪4aの下端に至らず補強環Aに接触しない位
置に挿設するのがメタルタツチを防げるので好ま
しい。

部4と一体化されているためシール部4の該ワツ
シヤーBに接する面は横流れによる移動性を全く
奪われておりその面周辺も拘束されるので、横流
れ量を大きく規制し充分な弾力性保持と過度の変
形を防ぐ。このシール部4の変形量を押える効果
は材料である弾性体のひずみ変形と横流れ破壊を
押え弾性体の寿命を大巾に延ばす効果とシール性
を大きく向上させる効果があり繰返しての使用を
可能とし、かつシールに最適な弾性を有する材料
を選択可能とする大きな効果を有している。

が支持部材8の取付け穴部9にはまり込み大きい
密封力を発揮できる正確な位置へ導く。さらに適
度な剛性を有するワツシヤーBの傘部6故、その
周囲に位置する弾性体の過変形を押え、過大なる
締圧を受けても該傘部4aで圧力を受け止め亀
裂・破損を防止するなどその作用効果は大きい。
