Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify an inspection after manufacture by composing a cover covering a printing element of a molding transparent resin, and observing the states of a liquid passage, a liquid chamber of the element without removing the cover. CONSTITUTION:A cover molded of transparent resin is so attached as to cover a liquid chamber 6 and a liquid passage 5 of a printing element 1. Further, an elbow 7 of a supply passage for supplying ink to the chamber 6 is secured in pressure contact by the cover molded of the resin with the upper face of the chamber 6 of the element 1. When the ink is supplied from the elbow 7, the ink is introduced to the chamber 6, the passage 5, and an orifice 4. When a drive pulse signal is applied by a drive circuit, the ink is discharged from the orifice 4. When the ink is filled in a head of such a structure, the ink filling state to the passage 5 and the chamber 6 can be observed without removing the head cover, and hence manufacturing steps and a printing inspection after the manufacture can be simplified.
