Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent terminals from coming into contact with each other due to a molding pressure by inserting a spacer from a coupler unit so as to position the terminals arranged at an intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:Terminals 2 through 5 in an insert plate state are previously set inside a space surrounded by an upper mold 15 and a lower mold 16. They are positioned by means of pins planted on the respective mold surfaces. A slide mold 17 is inserted into the tips of the terminals 2 through 5 sidewardly. The inside of the slide mold 17 extends so as to form a spacer 8 for inserting between the terminals 4 and 5. Therefore, resin is injected into the mold with this state kept intact so that a terminal base with the terminals 2 through 5 inserted can be molded. Thereat, the terminals 4 and 5 are positioned by means of the spacer 8, thereby preventing contact with each other due to a molding pressure.
