Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a space for a bookbinding line and to enhance an efficiency of regularly bookbinding, by a method wherein, end paper is supplied to a binder disposed on an unbound line in place of a cover for an unbound book, and a cover wrapping machine is connected succeeding to a three-side trimmer. CONSTITUTION:A set of section 3 is fed to a binder with a back 3A disposed downward. In the binder, an adhesive 7 is applied to the back 3A of the section set 3 by a roller, and the section set 3 is wrapped by end paper 5. Then, the back 3A of the section set 3 is bonded with each other, a reverse 5A of a back of the end paper 5 is bonded thereto, succeedingly the end paper 5 is folded along the ends of the back 3A of the section set 3, and a body 21 is obtained. Thereafter, the body 21 is fed to a three-side trimmer, and a fore edge 21A, a top edge 21B, and a tail edge 21C are cut by cutters 23. The body 21 is fed to a cover wrapping machine, therein the body 21 is wrapped by a cover 25, and a full reverse surface 25B of the cover 25 excepting a reverse back 25A is bonded to front and rear surfaces 5B, 5B of the end paper 5. The cover wrapping is performed by a guide provided on a feeding line. In this manner, a regular-bound book 27 is obtained.
