Gas generated in oil refining, petrochemical, and other factories is used as effectively as possible, but if recovery is not possible due to an accident, malfunction, etc., it is necessary to use the flare stack, a tower-like structure erected within the factory. It is collected and disposed of by burning into the air from a high point near the top.

This flare stack has a nozzle for completely burning the waste gas, and during combustion, it is necessary to mix the waste gas with steam to lower the combustion temperature. As shown in Fig. 1, this nozzle is formed by providing an inner pipe 2' for blowing out steam inside an outer pipe 1' forming the nozzle. The tips of the inner and outer tubes were severely damaged, and when the exhaust gas contained nitrogen compounds, nitrogen oxides (NOx) were likely to be produced.

On the other hand, this invention eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks by using a structure that uses spray water instead of steam. An embodiment of this invention will be explained with reference to FIG. The lower end of the outer pipe is connected to the waste gas tank.
An inner tube 2 is provided within the outer tube 1 at a distance from the inner surface of the outer tube, and its lower end is connected to a compressed air tank connected to an air compressor. This inner pipe 2 has a narrowed part 3 near the upper end to form a decompression chamber 4 inside, and a water conduit 5 is provided opening into this decompression chamber 4, and this water conduit 5 connects the outer pipe 2. It penetrates and is exposed to the outside, and its lower end is suspended into the water tank 6. 7
is a water supply pipe.

This device has the above-mentioned structure, in which waste gas is sent into the outer tube 1, and 3 to 10 kg/cm 2 is fed into the inner tube 2.
This compressed air passes through the narrowed part 3 of the inner pipe and is injected, reducing the pressure inside the narrowed part 3 and causing the inside of the water tank 6 to be pumped by the action of the ejector. water is sucked into the water pipe 5.
The water enters the inner pipe 2 through the air, becomes a fine spray of water mixed with compressed air, and is ejected from the inner pipe 2 and mixed into the waste gas.

FIG. 3 shows a modification of FIG. 2. In this embodiment, instead of providing the narrowed part directly in the inner pipe 2, this part is made into a double cylinder shape to form a decompression chamber 4 surrounding the injection port 3', and a water conduit pipe 5 is inserted into the decompression chamber 4. One end is open.

As mentioned above, this idea uses compressed air, which can be obtained at low cost, instead of conventional steam, and uses this compressed air to raise water as a fine spray to a high place and release it in the same state as steam. Furthermore, unlike steam, the temperature is low, which eliminates the drawbacks of the conventional methods and is extremely efficient.
