Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a fungicide capable of inhibiting the generation of fungi on feeds or feed additives for animals for long periods and especially having effects for feeds having readily fungus-generable compositions or for feeds stored under high temperature and high humidity conditions by adding propionic acid or a salt thereof to a sea weed. CONSTITUTION:Propionic acid or a salt thereof is compounded with a sea weed [in particular, the propionic acid or the salt thereof (e.g., Na salt or K salt) is preferably homogeneously mixed with the sea weed such as gulfweed, Undaria pinnatifida or sea tangle, especially Phaeophyceae in an amount of 1-20wt.%] to provide a fungicide for feeds. 棄せざるを得なくなるなど産業的に大きな損失を招いて
いる。
