Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent liquid drops from splashing over the inner surface of a panel by furnishing a control means, and controlling the flow of a cleaning liquid from the inner surface side of panel to the outside. CONSTITUTION:Graphite and a fluorescent film 7 are coated over a panel 6, and it is immerged in a cleaning liquid 3, and surplus portion attached to a panel sheet, skirt, and pin is scratched off. When the panel 6 is pulled up, the cleaning liquid 3 is blown to a pipe 5 in the A direction from a liquid flow control nozzle 4. At the surface level, the cleaning liquid flows from inside to outside, and when the seal surface of the panel 6 separates from the liquid surface, a liquid film 3a is extruded to outside the panel 6 by the liquid stream in the C direction, and liquid drops are extruded outward in the D direction. Accordingly no splash is made to the inner surface of the panel 6.

In the phosphor film coating process, which is the manufacturing process for cathode ray tubes, excess materials such as graphite, phosphor, and emulsion (acrylic film) adhering to the panel seal surface, skirt portion, and pin portion of the cathode ray tube are removed. Washing is being done. This cleaning of excess material on the panel seal surface side is generally carried out by a dip cleaning method in which the panel seal surface side is immersed in a cleaning liquid in a cleaning tank. However, in this method, by lifting the panel immersed in the cleaning liquid, the liquid film that is generated when the panel seal surface separates from the liquid surface breaks and becomes droplets that splash. If these droplets splash on the inside of the panel, they will adversely affect the fluorescent film on the effective display surface.

Conventionally, as a cleaning device for preventing droplets from bouncing around inside a panel, as shown in, for example, Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 57-103660, air is flowed inside the panel to push the droplets outward.

With the above conventional technology, it is difficult to blow air uniformly outward from the entire circumference of the panel sealing surface, and the weakest liquid film part breaks outward first, air escapes from that part, and other parts Droplets (on the opposite side) may splash inward. In particular, this problem often occurs if the tilt accuracy of the panel is poor.

Due to the liquid flow flowing from the inner surface of the panel to the outer side of the panel, the liquid film formed on the panel sealing surface and the liquid surface is swept outward, so that droplets on the inner surface of the panel are prevented from splashing.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. As shown in FIG. 1, a ventilation hole 2 is provided in the center of the cleaning tank higher than the top surface of the cleaning tank l. A liquid flow control nozzle 4 is disposed on the outer periphery of the vent hole 2 to blow out the same liquid as the cleaning liquid 3 in an upward direction as indicated by arrow A. Liquid is supplied through the NIL tube 5.

Next, the clouding effect will be explained. After applying the graphite and phosphor film 7 to the panel 6, as shown in FIG.

and remove any excess material stuck to the pin. Then, when the panel 6 is lifted up in the direction of arrow B, the same liquid as the cleaning liquid 3 is supplied to the pipe 51, and the liquid is blown out in the direction of arrow A from the liquid flow control nozzle 4. As a result, as shown in FIG.
The liquid film 3a that is generated when the sealing surface of is separated from the liquid surface is pushed out to the outside of the panel 6 by the liquid fit in the direction of arrow C, and the droplets caused by the liquid film 3at are pushed out in the outward direction as shown by the arrow. Therefore, droplets are prevented from splashing onto the circular surface of the panel 6.

Note that the liquid flow control nozzle 4 only needs to be able to control the liquid flow from the inner surface of the panel 6 to the outside, and the mounting position and shape of the liquid flow control nozzle 4 are not particularly limited. Further, instead of the liquid flow control nozzle 41, other liquid flow control means may be used.

According to the present invention, the liquid film that forms on the panel sealing surface and the liquid surface is pushed out to the outside of the panel, so there is no droplet splash failure and the yield is improved.
