Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide possibility of using a lens cover made of plastic and accomplish a light in lightweight and with high strength by using a cold mirror to a reflector, and allowing part of heat rays emitted from a light source to pass from the reflector. CONSTITUTION:In a reflector 2 using a color mirror, a beam of light is reflected from an electric bulb 2, and heat rays 5 are allowed to penetrate. This decreases the amount of heat rays attaining a lens cover 1 to suppress temp. elevation, which accomplishes an ID lamp with possibility of continuous lightup by means of a lens cover made in plastic having two functions, i.e. a cover for light and a lightweight strength member. This constitution achieves a lightweight and high strength light with high output using a lens cover in plastic without use of lens cover made of heat resistant hard glass. Also this permits application to various highly luminous illuminations satisfactorily, including a landing light, collision preventive light, etc. for aircraft.
