Abstract

PURPOSE:To send data other than picture information by switching a processing path of the data depending on the content of a signal from a host so as to use a high speed MODEM, a communication control section and a network control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A signal 06 represents the content of data to be sent is inputted to a discrimination circuit 6 and a signal 61 as the result of discrimination is inputted to a switching circuit 1. The switching circuit 1 sends a transmission data 01 as a signal 12 to a coding circuit 2 in case of picture information and inputs the transmission data 01 to a changeover circuit 3 not through the coding circuit 2 other than the picture information. The switching circuit 6 outputs an input signal 13 or 21 to a communication control circuit 4 as a signal 34 according to the switching signal 61.
