PURPOSE:To report a reason why a feed hot water temperature is low to user, by a method wherein the temperature and an amount of water fed to a hot water feeder are detected, a feed hot water temperature obtained at maximum capacity is computed therefor, the compare it with a set temperature, and in the case of deficiency in capacity thereof, an alarm is issued for announcement. CONSTITUTION:The functions of a maximum hot water feed temperature computing means 8, a feed hot water set temperature detecting means 9, and a capacity and set temperature comparing means 10 are contained in a microcomputer 6. The maximum feed hot water temperature computing means 8 computes the maximum feed hot water temperature during maximum combustion of a hot water feeder from an income water temperature and an income water amount obtained by an income water temperature detecting means 4 and an income amount detecting means 5. The feed hot water set temperature detecting means 9 detects a feed hot water set temperature from an electric signal inputted from a feed hot water temperature set means 7. The capacity and set temperature comparing means 10 compares a maximum feed hot water temperature obtained by the maximum feed hot water temperature computing means 8 with a set temperature obtained by the feed hot water set temperature detecting means 9. A deficiency-in-capacity announcing means 11 inputs a signal from the capacity and set temperature comparing means 10 to announce a deficiency in capacity when capacity is deficient.
