Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a danger due to leakage of electricity by arranging an output terminal of an optical fiber inside a fountain nozzle so as to illuminate ejected water from the inside. CONSTITUTION:A light is sent from a lamp house through an optical fiber, so that ejected water is illuminated from inside by the light emitted out of an output terminal arranged inside a nozzle. The light does not go much out of a water column part with a flat surface because of total reflection at the surface of water column. Refracted light disperses out of the water column parts, whose surfaces become remarkably rugged, and the water column and water drops around it are illuminated altogether. It is possible, by using this method, to design freely a fountain beautiful as a whole.
