Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily perform underwater coating by fitting a nozzle to the outlet of a watertight vessel contg. underwater paint and by pressing the paint out of the vessel by a diver under water to coat an object. CONSTITUTION:Underwater paint or an underwater crack filler is charged into a flexible watertight vessel 1 made of plastics, etc. One end of the vessel 1 is a charge inlet 2 sealable with a zipper or the like and a nozzle 4 is fitted to the outlet 3 of the vessel 1. The vessel 1 contg. the paint or filler is brought to an object by a diver under water and the paint or filler is pressed out of the nozzle 4 of the vessel 1 to coat the object or to fill the cracks in the object. Thus, coating or crack filling work can easily be performed.

Traditionally, this two-dip type paint or filler (hereinafter referred to as paint, etc.) is mixed on land, the paint is placed in a container such as a bucket, and a diver uses a brush or spatula to paint or inject cracks underwater. Ta. (See Fig. 4) Alternatively, as shown in Fig. 5, the two heated paints, etc., are pumped to the object underwater, or as shown in Fig. 6, each liquid is pumped from land using two hoses. There was a method of pressure feeding and using a static mixer at the tip.

(c) Problems to be solved by the invention Underwater paints have a specific gravity of about 1.5, which means they are heavier than water and can be placed in a container such as a bucket for painting, etc.
The buoyancy of water is added, and when moving underwater, the external force of the water is also added, so it is much more likely to spill than in the air, and it will get on your clothes and skin! ! (It gets dirty easily after wearing it once, and there is a lot of waste.

In addition, when pumping paint or the like that has heated two liquids from land, high pressure is required due to the high viscosity, and the length of the hose cannot be increased. Furthermore, once fully cured, epoxy resin cannot be easily dissolved in solvents, so the resin in the hose is wasted after use, and cleaning is very time-consuming.

In addition, when using two hoses and a static mixer at the end as shown in Figure 6, the two hoses are heavy, making it difficult to work underwater, and a long hose is required if the distance is far. Due to its high viscosity, it cannot be pumped.

(g) Effects Because of the structure described above, divers can freely and easily bring containers containing paint, etc., close to the object to be painted, etc., and in the case of plastic containers, divers can use their hands. By applying pressure from the outside, or in the case of the containers shown in Figures 2 and 3, the diver can easily discharge paint etc. from the nozzle and perform painting or crack injection work by operating the cock <lO>. There is almost no discharge pipe or it can be made short, maintenance is easy, there is little waste of paint, etc., the plastic container can be disposable, and maintenance and inspection of the device is easy. Additionally, paint is less likely to spill and stain clothing or skin. As described above, the present invention provides an easy-to-use underwater coating or crack injection device that is easy to maintain and inspect.
