Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は癌温熱療法等に用いる高周波加熱方式
の温熱治療装置に関する。

この装置の原理は、高周波発生器の出力端子に
接続した2枚の電極間に生体をはさむと、生体内
に誘導電流が流れ、この流れた電流に対応する発
熱が得られ、この発熱によつて生体内の腫瘍部分
を治療しようとするものである。発明者は既に特
公昭56−38230号公報においてこの種装置の基本
となる発明を提供しているが、この基本発明は、
高周波発生器の出力端子から送り出された電力が
効率良く二枚の電極間の生体内を流れるように、
出力端子と電極との間に可変コンデンサーと可変
コイルとからなるインピーダンス整合装置を介在
させて、出力端子の出力インピーダンスと電極の
負荷インピーダンスとを等しくなるように調整し
て、理想的には出力された電力が総て電極間を流
れるようにしたものである。例えば、10MHzの高
周波はテレビ周波数とラジオ周波数の中間にある
電波としての性質の強い周波であるから、出力端
子から送り出されたこの電波は電極面で反射され
てくる。今、100Wの出力に対して反射率が20%
であれば、20Wが発生器に戻つてきて80Wが電極
間を流れることとなるから、理論的には出力の80
%しか生体に作用しないこととなる。また、この
ように反射が大きいと反射された電力は出力側で
熱に変わり出力回路が溶けてしまう。従つて、こ
の反射率は低くする程望ましいから、出力側のイ
ンピーダンスを調整して電極側のインピーダンス
と一致させて反射をなくし、100%の電力を生体
間に作用させようとするのが前記基本発明であ
る。この原理によれば電極間の発熱は生体の電気
抵抗により決まるものであるから、本来、生理食
塩水の均一体とみなせる生体では均一な発熱が得
られるはずであるが、実際には、寒天フアントム
を使つた実験でも加熱に偏りが生じ、一方の電極
付近があたたまるのが一般的であつた。そのた
め、所定の腫瘍部分を加熱することが困難なた
め、臨床効果が不安定になるのみならず、出力を
上げて効果を上げようとすると火傷を起すという
問題があつた。

内に均一な加温場を生じさせることに成功し、こ
れに基いて、電極間で温度分布の偏りのない均一
な加温場が得られるようにすると共に、更に進め
て加温場を一方の電極に偏つた位置に自由に移動
させることができる高周波加熱方式による温熱治
療装置を提供しようとするものである。
