Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a working property for assembling to a rim in the captioned wheel having a ring-form core by forming the core with an elastic material, joinably separating one place in the circumferential direction and making the inside diameter smaller than the outside diameter of the rim. CONSTITUTION:A ring-form core 3 is formed with an elastic body of resin, FRP, metal, etc., and joinably separated at a separating portion 7. The inside diameter D1 of the core 3 is set slightly smaller than the outside diameter of a rim 1. At the time of assembling this ring-form core 3 to the rim 1, the core 3 is inserted into a tire 2, the core inside diameter D1 is expanded to D3 forming a gap delta3 on the separating portion 7, and the core 3 together with the tire 2 is installed on the rim 1 of which a side ring 5 is removed. Then, by reducing the inside diameter to D2, the outer face of the rim 1 is closely attached to the inner face of the core 3 and, then, the separating portion 7 is linked by an unshown linking tool. By this structure, a rim assembling operation can be made easier.

The rim 1 has one rim flange 4 integrally formed with the main body, while the other rim flange is a removable side ring 5. With respect to such a rim 1, one bead portion 2a of the tire 2 is set on the rim flange 4 side, and the other bead portion 2b is set on the side ring 5 side.

However, in such a pneumatic tire wheel, the ring-shaped core 3 is sandwiched and fixed between the bead portions 2a and 2b.
Since the side ring 5 had to be attached while compressing the tire, the workability of assembling the rim was extremely poor. In addition, in FIG. 5, the arrow indicates the direction in which force is applied.

For this reason, the present invention provides a pneumatic tire wheel in which a ring-shaped core is incorporated together with a tire into a rim whose rim flange is a removable side ring. The gist of this invention is a pneumatic tire wheel characterized by being separated at one point in the direction so that they can be freely connected, and furthermore, the inner diameter of the wire core is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the rim.

In the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, a ring-shaped core 3 is incorporated together with a tire 2 into a rim 1 whose one rim flange is a removable side ring 5. Ring-shaped core 3
is separated at one location in the circumferential direction, forming a separation part 7 as shown in FIG. 2(A). This ring-shaped core 3 is
It is made of an elastic material such as resin, fiber reinforced resin (FRP), or metal. It is preferable to use FRP as the material for the ring-shaped core 3 because it is lightweight and durable. Further, the ring-shaped core 3 has an inner diameter D1 that is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the rim 1.

2 is made smaller (δ2 < δ3) to bring the outer surface of the rim l into firm contact with the inner surface of the ring-shaped core 3, and then the separating portion 7 is connected.

The separation portion 7 may be connected, for example, by tightening bolts through a connecting piece 8 as shown in FIG. 3(A), or by simply tightening a bolt 9 as shown in FIG. 3(B). It may also be done via When the ring-shaped core 3 is attached to the rim 1 in this manner, force is applied in the tire radial direction as shown by the arrow in FIG. 1, so that the attachment becomes strong.

Further, when the side ring 5 is mounted on the vehicle with the side ring 5 on the outside, it is preferable to arrange the ring-shaped core 3 near the side ring 5, as shown in FIG. Thereby, movement of the bead portion 2b can be reduced during run-flat running. Furthermore, since the ring-shaped core 3 can be attached near the side ring 5, assembly of the rim becomes easy. It is preferable that the inner surface of the ring-shaped core 3 is fitted into the inner surface of the ring-shaped core 3.The ring-shaped core 3 is formed of an elastic material, and one location in the circumferential direction of the core 3 is separated so as to be connectable. Of course, the inner diameter of the wire core 3 is made slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the groove 10 of the rim l.The top of the ring-shaped core 3 is preferably rounded. This is because it is possible to prevent the inner surface of the tire 2 from being damaged by the top of the ring-shaped core 3 during run-flat running.

As explained above, according to the present invention, the ring-shaped core is formed of an elastic material, one part of the core in the circumferential direction is separated so as to be connectable, and the inner diameter of the wire core is set to the outside of the rim. Since the inner diameter of the ring-shaped core is made slightly smaller than the diameter, the inner diameter of the ring-shaped core can be easily enlarged or reduced, which improves the workability of assembling the rim.Furthermore, the rim and the core can be firmly attached after assembling the rim. becomes possible.
