Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject yarn having uniformly attached protein and capable of restoring from a stretched or contracted state, by immersing a feeding member of natural fiber in a protein solution, feeding the yarn to a hydration tank containing the protein solution, heating the yarn under twisting and finally untwisted with a spinner member. CONSTITUTION:A feeding member 2 of a natural fiber 1 is immersed in a protein solution in a tank 50. The natural fiber 1 attached with the protein is unwound and transferred from the feeding member 2. A hydration tank 37 provided with a guide roll 6 is placed in the middle of the transfer path of the fiber and the protein solution is stored in the hydration tank. The natural fiber is passed through the protein solution in the hydration tank 37 along the guide roll 6 to uniformly attach the protein to the fiber surface. The hydrated natural fiber 1' subjected to the above treatment is heated with a heater 5 under twisting at a twisting zone side and, immediately after the heating process, untwisted with a spinner member 3 and wound on a winding cylinder 4 to obtain the objective shape-memory yarn.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention is made of natural fibers that have the appearance of ordinary natural fibers, but which retain their memory when heated in pretreatments such as soaking in hot water or exposing to steam. If you put a shrunken object in water and stretch it, if you dry it without applying any tension, it will remember when it shrunk and return to its original shrunken state, and then it will shrink again depending on the degree of heating. This relates to a method for producing a natural fiber memory shaped yarn which, when shrunk and dried under water and under tension, retains its memory before shrinking and returns to a state close to the state of the shrunk curve.

The applicant has filed Japanese Patent Application No. 61-578445 and Japanese Patent Application No. 62-1.
When weaving and knitting, as in No. 51748, completely ordinary natural fibers, such as ordinary silk threads, are easy to weave and knit, but if they are then immersed in hot water or exposed to steam, they are heated during pretreatment. It remembers the memory of when it was shrunk and shrinks depending on the degree of heating, and even if you put something that has shrunk into water and it stretches, if you dry it without applying tension, it will remember the memory of when it shrunk and it will be close to its original shrunken state. Developed a manufacturing method and manufacturing device for memory-shape yarn which, when shrunk and dried under tension in water, remembers its memory before shrinking and returns to a state close to the state before shrinkage. We created a prototype machine, conducted repeated tests, and improved various aspects.

When the natural fiber 1 is immersed in a protein solution and the protein-adhered thread is passed through a false twisting device, the protein adhering to the thread is heated with water and combined with the protein, which is an isomer of the thread. However, due to this bonding, the thread looks like a normal thread but shrinks when soaked in hot water.

As described above, the present invention uses natural fibers as processed yarns when heated yarns are heat-treated and untwisted, and the natural fibers are immersed in a protein solution to attach proteins, and the yarns are immersed in the protein solution. Since water is sufficiently added to the yarn core by letting the yarn pass through the water, the proteins attached to the yarn during heat treatment and the proteins inherent in natural fibers are molecularly bonded, and due to this molecular bonding action and heat untwisting action, they are When immersed or exposed to steam, it looks like a normal natural fiber, but it retains the memory of being heated during pretreatment and shrinks depending on the degree of heating, and even if it stretches when it is dipped in water, the tension remains. If you dry it without putting it on, it will remember the memory of when it shrunk and return to a state close to its original shrunken state, and if you put the shrunk item in water and dry it under tension, it will remember the memory of shrinking and will shrink. It will be modified into a memory shape yarn with natural fibers that will return to a state close to its previous original state.

At this time, protein adhesion and hydration are performed by immersing the thread supply body in a protein solution to allow the protein to penetrate sufficiently into the inside, then storing the protein solution in a hydration tank, and immersing the guide partially or completely in this protein solution. By feeding natural fibers along a roll, protein adhesion is made uniform and water is added at the same time, resulting in a superior modified yarn.

This memory-shaped yarn is normally a normal natural fiber, such as silk, so it is easy to weave and knit, and by making it into various products and then treating it with heated water, it can be modified into products that exhibit the desired elasticity. Even if the product stretches a little after washing, it will return to its original elasticity after drying, and it can also be returned to its original state before heated water treatment, which does not exhibit elasticity. It has a wide range of applications. It is possible to produce a wide range of natural fiber memory shape yarns.
