<Prior art and its problems> In industrial boilers, including large boilers for power plants, operations are periodically stopped to remove clinker adhering to the furnace wall, which is the water tube wall, and to conduct inspections. Once the boiler operation has been stopped and the inside of the furnace has cooled down, materials are brought into the furnace, scaffolding is erected, the inside of the furnace is inspected, and clinker is removed. Assembling the scaffolding and removing clinker is all done manually, but clinker that adheres to walls is strong, so workers must use hammers, drills, etc. to remove the clinker. For this reason, clinker removal requires a great deal of effort and time, and the work is dangerous at high altitudes, and the work environment is extremely poor because of the floating fine powder of crushed clinker.

On the other hand, boilers themselves tend to become larger due to increased capacity and the switch to coal as fuel, with heights of several tens of meters, in some cases approaching 100 meters. For this reason, the number of workers engaged in clinker removal work is increasing, and the reality is that it takes one week to 10 days to assemble the scaffolding and five to six days to remove it, and there is a strong desire to improve the efficiency of the work.

FIG. 1 shows the entire apparatus according to this invention. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a traveling trolley, which is configured to be movable on an endless track 3 driven by a drive device 2. In view of the fact that the stage 4, which is the running surface 4, is made of iron-based metal, the endless track 3 is preferably configured as a magnetic material to prevent the device from falling off.
Reference numeral 5 denotes a body (rotating member having a vertical axis on the top side of the vehicle) mounted on the traveling vehicle 1, and this body is rotated around a pin 7 by a drive device 6 such as a hydraulic cylinder. A movable first arm 8 is attached. Note that the body 5 itself has rollers 22.
It is rotatably attached to the traveling trolley 1. The second arm 9 is rotatably attached to the first arm 8. Reference numeral 11 denotes a hydraulic cylinder which is a driving device for operating this second arm. 10 is a clinker removal unit (clinker removal member) attached to the second arm as an attachment, and includes a support part 10a that rotates along the axis of the second arm 9, and an axis perpendicular to the support part 10a. The clinker removing member 12 is attached to the unit body 10c, which rotates around the unit body 10b.

Figures 2 and 3 show details of the clinker removal unit. In the figure, the support portion 10a is rotated by the motor 13 along the axis of the second arm 9, and the unit body 10c is rotated about the shaft 10b by the operation of a rotary hydraulic cylinder 10d formed around it. The center of the clinker removing member 12 attached to the tip of the unit body 10c is an air hammer 15 operated by an air cylinder 14. A cutter 1 is placed around this air hammer 15.
A rotating body 16c is provided with a clinker scraping brush 16b attached thereto. 16d is a clinker suction port formed on the rotating body 16c, 17 is a flexible hose for sucking clinker, and 18 is a motor for rotating the rotating body. Note that the reference numeral 21 in the figure is a monitor television camera attached to the unit main body 10c.

The operation of the apparatus having the above configuration will be explained by taking as an example the case where clinker adhering to the wall surface of a boiler furnace is removed.
To remove clinker, a stage 4 that can be raised and lowered is suspended in the boiler furnace by a wire rope or the like, and the apparatus is placed on this stage. The device is moved to a predetermined location by a trolley 1, and the body 5, the first
The arm 8, second arm 9, support portion 10a, and unit main body 10c are operated to position the clinker removing member 12 on a predetermined wall surface. Next, air hammer 15
The rotating body 16c is operated to knock down the clinker adhering to the wall surface 20, and the cutter is used to peel it off. Furthermore, the clinker pieces in this state are collected with the brush 16b, and sucked through the clinker suction port 16d, and the hose 1
7 and then discharged to a predetermined location. FIG. 4 shows an example of this working state, and arrows in the figure indicate the order of working on the wall surface 20.
