掛け止め部12aが側方に折り曲げて突設されて
いる。この掛け止め部12aは棚の前後の支柱7
の側面に上下に列設された孔7aの一つに掛け止
められている。棚板支持部材12の下縁部は水平
方向に折り曲げられて折曲下縁部12bとなつて
おり、また、棚板支持部材12の垂直面部にはL
字状の打ち出し部12cが形成されている。上記
折曲下縁部12b上には棚板14の一端部が乗せ
られると共に、上記打ち出し部12cに棚板14
の側面の図示されない切欠部が掛け止められるこ
とにより、棚板14が移動不能に支持されてい
る。棚板14の他方の端部も同様の構造によつて
支持されているものとする。棚板14は前後に二
分されたものが前後に並べられて支持されると共
に、前後の棚板にまたがつて磁気テープなどの円
板状の載置物15を立てて載置することができる
ように、前部の棚板14の後半部上面及び図示さ
れない後部棚板の前半部上面が斜面をなすように
形成されて、前後の棚板双方間に載置物15の下
部を受け入れる溝が形成されるようになつてい
る。もつとも、棚板の形状は載置物の形状等に応
じて任意に作ることができ、平板状の1枚の棚板
であつてもよい。物品載置部の側部、具体的には
棚板支持部材12の前後方向の中央部には、両端
部が直角に折り曲げられて門形に形成され、さら
に両端部が外方に直角に折り曲げられてなる載置
物の落下防止部材13の上記両端の折曲部13a
が挿通されている。これにより落下防止部材13
は、棚板14の間口面と平行な態位を保持した状
態のまま上下方向に回動しうるようになつてい
る。落下防止部材13は、図示の例では丸棒で形
成されているが、必ずしも丸棒に限られるもので
はない。落下防止部材13は、図に実線で示され
ているように、略垂直に立ち上がつて棚板14上
の載置物15の上方に位置する態位まで回動する
と、適宜の係止部に係止されて上記態位が保持さ
れ、それ以上の回動が阻止されるようになつてい
る。また、落下防止部材13は、図に鎖線13A
で示されているようにこれを前方に向かつて回動
させて倒伏させると、棚板支持部材12に固着さ
れている係止部16により、上記倒伏態位で係止
され、それ以上倒伏方向に回動するのを阻止する
ようになつている。落下防止部材13に思案ばね
を掛け、この思案ばねの思案点を僅かに越えた位
置で落下防止部材13が垂直方向の立ち上がり態
位を保持するようにしてもよい。落下防止部材1
3は、上記のように立ち上がり態位にあるときは
載置物15をまたぐことによつて載置物15の出
し入れ作業に支障を来すようなことはなく、ま
た、上記のように倒伏態位にあるときは載置物の
出し入れ通路上に進出して載置物15の落下を防
止するようになつている。そして、落下防止部材
13を立ち上がり態位で係止する係止部は、落下
防止部材13を略垂直態位で係止して、棚の振動
により落下防止部材13が倒伏態位の方に向かつ
て回動しうる位置に設けられている。

部材の操作は同部材を単に回動させるだけでよ
く、回動させながらさらに持ち上げて引つ掛け部
に掛け止めるというような面倒な操作は不要であ
り、操作性のよい載置物落下防止装置を提供する
ことができる。さらに、落下防止部材を倒伏態位
にすることを忘れたとしても、地震等を原因とし
て棚が振動すると立ち上がり態位にある上記落下
防止部材が自重で回動して自動的に倒伏態位をと
るから、載置物の落下を未然に防止することがで
きるという効果もある。
