Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title cloth capable of removing creases or wrinkles developed when worn by low-temperature treatment, by attaching a shape memory resin to a woven or knitted fabric or nonwoven fabric. CONSTITUTION:A cloth of a woven or knitted fabric or nonwoven fabric is impregnated or sprayed with a solution containing a shape memory resin followed by drying to obtain the objective cloth. This cloth is capable of removing creases or wrinkles developed during making primary products or wearing, by heating to 40-60 deg.C above the glass transition temperature (e.g., 35 deg.C) without the need for using a flat iron or the like. Said shape memory resin can be produced by ring opening polymerization of norbornene prepared by Diels-Alder reaction between ethylene and cyclopentadiene.

(Prior Art) Conventionally, it has been known that various resin processing treatments are applied to fabrics such as woven and knitted fabrics during the scouring and finishing steps after piece dyeing. Resin processing is performed on the fabric for the purpose of, for example, waterproofing, stain-proofing, wrinkle-proofing, hygiene, or improving texture.

However, even fabrics, especially textiles, that have been treated with anti-wrinkle processing using a thermosetting resin, when cut and used as secondary products, such as when worn as obi or dress shirts, may suffer from the anti-wrinkle effect. The effect of the processing is weakened and wrinkles and creases inevitably occur.

When these wrinkles and creases occur, in the case of dress shirts, etc., after washing, they are heat-treated at high temperature with an iron to remove the wrinkles and creases. In order to remove these wrinkles and folds, it is necessary to perform heat treatment at a high temperature after each wash, which is very troublesome and has the problem that the wrinkles and folds cannot be completely removed.

In addition, in the case of obi, it is not possible to wash it to remove dirt, or to heat it at high temperatures to remove wrinkles and creases.
There is a problem in that wrinkles and creases are difficult to remove even with careful handling.

It has the property of being soluble in bufthenic and paraffinic oils. That is, the polynorbornene 7 is heated at a temperature above the glass transition point, for example, around 150°C (temperature at which it can be deformed).
It maintains its mouse shape, is fixed at a temperature below the glass transition point, for example, at room temperature, and recovers its shape at a reheating temperature above the glass transition point, for example, about 40 to 60°C.

Instead of immersing the fabric 5 in a solution of polynorbornene 7 dissolved in aromatic oil in the container 11, a solution of polynorbornene 7 dissolved in aromatic oil is put into a spray device, and the spray device The polynorbornene 7 may be sprayed onto the surface of the fabric 5, and the polynorbornene 7 may be heated and fixed and cooled. Furthermore, it is also possible to apply a solution containing a shape memory resin to the fabric with a brush, to attach it while stirring, or to impregnate the fabric by vacuum deposition.

The fabrics that are adhered to or impregnated with the shape memory resin obtained in this way can be folded during the process of becoming a secondary product, cut and used as a secondary product, or when worn, resulting in wrinkles and creases. Even if wrinkles occur, they can be restored to their original state by heat treatment at, for example, about 40 to 60°C, so wrinkles, creases, etc. can be easily and easily removed.
