Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a support material of an electrode head to record stable printing by obtaining enough strength to load of a platen and tension of a recording material, by a method wherein a block is fixed by attaching a protection cover to all surface of either rear surface of a second and a third support materials pinching an electrode needle arranged to a first support material. CONSTITUTION:Support materials 2a, 2b are so fixed by adhesives as to pinch electrode needles 1a, 1b under a state wherein only joint parts of the electrode needles 1a, 1b to a support material 2c are exposed. Driving IC 4a, 4b and circuit substrates 7a, 7b are attached to a base substrate 3. The electrode needles 1a, 1b, the driving ICs 4a, 4b and electric circuits formed on the circuit substrates 7a, 7b are connected to fine wire conductors 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b by a TAB method. The circuit substrates 7a, 7b are connected to a connector 10 by conductor wires 9a, 9b. Then, a protection cover attaching block 9a is fixed to a part of a rear surface of the support material 2a by adhesives, and a protection cover attaching block 9b is fixed to all the rear surface of the support material 2b by adhesives. An electrode head is completed by attaching protection covers 11a, 11b with a screw 12.

As a means to solve this problem, a scratching head (for example, Japanese Patent Application No. 178537/1983) was filed in which a hexagonal boron nitride sintered body was used as a support for the t-pole needle.
fi high resolution printing quality can now be obtained. Furthermore, as a means to form 1i scratching needles, copper foil is photoetched on both main surfaces of the hexagonal boron nitride sintered body, and the electrode needles on both main surfaces are sandwiched between the hexagonal boron nitride sintered bodies. Head manufacturing method (for example, Japanese Patent Application No. 1983-74605)
and yoko-a (for example, Japanese Patent Application No. 62-90222) have been proposed. Hereinafter, the above-mentioned conventional electrode head will be explained with reference to the drawings. FIG. 2 is a sectional view of a conventional electrode head. In FIG. 2, the xi needles 1a and lb are used to apply electrolytic copper in stripes (line width: 62.5 μm) on a support 2C of hexagonal boron nitride (for example, Denka boron nitride sintered body manufactured by Denki Kagaku Kogyo Co., Ltd.). , line spacing 62.
The support body 2C and the electrode needles 1a are parallel electrical conductors with a resolution of 5 μm, that is, a resolution of 8 lines/U.

While scraping 2b and 2c with the recording body 13, the electrode needles la,
By making the lb slightly protrude from the supports 2a, 2b, and 2c, stable recording can be performed continuously. However, in the case of an electrode head having such a structure, the support is deflected by the platen load and the tension of the recording medium during print recording, making it impossible to perform stable print recording. Moreover, since this electrode head prints and records while scraping the support, it is necessary to lengthen the support according to the required lifespan, and the longer the lifespan, the longer the support becomes and the structure becomes more flexible.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention As mentioned above, in an electrode head that has a structure in which a block is fixed by attaching a protective cover to a part of the support, the support flexes due to the platen load and the tension of the recording medium during print recording, making it difficult to record stable prints. The problem was that it was not possible.
