熱できる。こうしてごみ6は加熱脱水され乾燥する。乾
燥が終わると沸点を越えて温度が上昇し発火点に達し発
火する。この時、燃焼に必要な空気は送風機13によっ
て給気路11を通じ給気ロアより処理容器6内へ送られ
る。送られる空気によって燃焼し、燃焼により発生した
排ガスは排気口9よシ浄化器10内へ入る。浄化器10
内には触媒8が備えられており、燃焼により高温になっ
たガスは浄化器ヒーター12によシ加熱され触媒8の酸
化作用により二酸化炭素と水に分解されて外部に排出さ
れる。加熱焼却減量処理されたごみ6は灰となシ処理容
器5の壁面に付着するが、冷却後処理容器6に設けた灰
かき取シ部16を処理容器5の外周に沿って回し灰を処
理容器6底へかき落とす。また処理容器5底に付着した
灰も処理容器6底面に接したヘラ部16aの水平部分に
よって同様に剥離される。かき取られた灰は従来のよう
に直接手や棒等を使ってかき落としたシすることなく処
