[Detailed description of the invention] [Industrial application field] The present invention is a connector cover used to cover and protect live parts that branch out from distribution lines (hereinafter referred to as main lines) to drop-in lines (hereinafter referred to as branch lines). Regarding this, it has the feature that it can also be used to cover and protect live parts where main lines are connected in a straight line, if necessary.

[Prior art and its problems] Conventional connector covers of this type are generally formed in one piece, making them difficult to attach to live parts, and moreover, they must be handled at high places, making installation work difficult. making it extremely difficult. For example, the cover described in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 50-9090 is a protective cover for the terminals and connections of insulated wires, but since the cover is formed as a whole, the terminals and connections of the wires cannot be protected inside the cover, especially in high places. It is extremely difficult to install or store the parts. In addition, the power distribution line (main line) inserted from one opening of the protective cover is branched and then inserted from the other opening.
When two electric wires, a main line and a drop-in line (branch line), are pulled out all at once, there is a problem that a gap is created in the opening, allowing rainwater etc. to easily enter, and internal connections etc. are not protected. For this reason, there is a method described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 56589 that simplifies the installation work. This relates to a method of insulating electrical conductors, in which the parts requiring insulation are covered by joining a pair of enclosures, and the difficulty of work found in the case where the cover is integrally formed as described above has been improved. However, in this case as well, the enclosure has only one opening.
Since the distribution line is divided into two parts, the main line and the branch line,
When a book is pulled out, a gap is created in the opening, allowing rainwater to enter and corrode the live parts inside. Furthermore, as shown in the embodiment, the connecting part of the enclosure is a simple one that simply engages a small protrusion provided at the side end of one opening with a recess provided at the other end of the other opening. Because of this, the bonding force is weak, and when a strong wind or a bird or beast hits them, the impact or pressure will cause the engaging portion to come off all at once and be easily separated.

Furthermore, since the inner diameters of both enclosures are approximately the same up to the opening, it is not possible to handle conductors such as electric wires with different diameters, and each enclosure has an opening with a different inner diameter. It also had the disadvantage of having to be replaced.

[Purpose and structure of the present invention] The present invention solves all of the above-mentioned drawbacks, makes installation work on live parts easy, and does not create gaps when the two lines, the main line and the branch line, are pulled out from the opening. In addition to preventing the intrusion of rainwater, the connection between the receiving member forming the cover and the insertion member is strengthened to prevent the two members from separating, and the charging part can be stably accommodated within the housing part. The purpose is to provide a connector cover, and for this purpose, a main line and a branch line made of insulated wires are connected with a connector etc. with the conductor wires exposed, and the live part is insulated, and the housing is used to house the live part. An end wall is formed at one end of the section, a vertically elongated hole is formed in the end wall, a wire holding section is extended by communicating with the longitudinal hole, and the wire holding section is positioned vertically at the tip of the wire holding section to branch from the main line. A receiving side member is formed by consecutively disposing gripping tubes for gripping the wire, and on the other hand, a collar portion is provided around the inner end of the fitting tube that can be inserted into the housing portion, and a protrusion is provided on the outer peripheral surface. an insertion side member having an end wall formed at one end of the insertion tube, and a grip tube extended to communicate with the opening provided in the end wall and grip the main line; When the fitting cylinder is inserted into the part, the upper wall and the lower wall of both the gripping cylinders are formed so as to overlap each other, and the inner diameter of each gripping cylinder is a tapered surface that gradually becomes smaller in diameter toward the tip. At the same time, a blind cover that can be cut off is integrally provided at the tip of a gripping tube for gripping the branch line to constitute a connector cover.

[Operation] When inserting the insertion tube into the housing, the flange of the insertion tube comes into contact with the tip of the housing and at the same time the protrusion of the insertion tube bites into the inner peripheral surface of the receiving side member. Fix it with. Therefore, the insertion side member is tightly and firmly fixed inside the receiving side member, and not only are both members firmly connected, but the upper and lower walls of the insertion tube are inserted deep into the upper and lower walls of the inner periphery of the housing. Since the two members overlap and overlap, the engaging portion of the two members becomes large, and it is extremely difficult for the two members to separate even if subjected to an external impact.

The receiving side member and the insertion side member are tightly connected without any gaps, and the tip of the gripping tube can be cut off so that it has an inner diameter that matches the diameter of the wire, so there is no gap in the opening of the gripping tube, and it can be inserted into the connector cover. can be sealed at all times, preventing the intrusion of rainwater, etc., and keeping the electric wires and live parts watertight.

Next, the use of the connector cover of the present invention formed as described above will be explained. First, the blind cover 14 provided at the tip of the grip cylinder 6a of the receiving side member 1 is cut off to open it, and the branch line B and the main line A are inserted into each grip cylinder 6a, 6b, 6c as shown in FIG. Then, remove the insulation coating C of each wire and expose the conductor wire.

Then, the receiving side member 1 is made to accommodate the charging part E in the accommodating part 2, and in this state, the insertion side member 7 is slid to fit the insertion tube 8 into the accommodating part, and the collar part 10 is inserted into the accommodating part. If the protrusion 15 is pressed until it comes into contact with the tip of the accommodating part 2, the protrusion 15 will simultaneously bite into the inner circumferential surface of the accommodating part 2 and be fixed, thereby covering and protecting the charging part E in a hermetically sealed manner. Also,
At this time, the fitting tube 8 and the upper and lower walls of the accommodating portion 2 overlap each other over the entire surface, thereby increasing the engaging portion. As a result, the insertion side member 7 and the receiving side member 1 are tightly and firmly connected. In this state, the charging part E is prevented from sliding to the left and right because both the left and right ends of the bolt-shaped connector D are close to the end walls 3a, 3b, and the main line A and the branch line B are connected to the grip tubes 6a, 6b, They are each held in a watertight manner by the tips of 6c.

[Effects of the invention] As described above, the connector cover of the invention allows each electric wire to be passed through each grip tube, and furthermore, with the live part accommodated in the accommodation section, the insertion tube is inserted into the accommodation section. It can be sealed with a simple operation. In addition, the fitting tube fits deeply into the housing portion, and the upper and lower walls thereof overlap over the entire surface, increasing the engaging portion, making it difficult to dislodge, and furthermore, it is more tightly fixed by the protrusion and the flange. Therefore, the receiving side member and the insertion side member are firmly connected, and there is no fear that they will separate due to external impact or pressure when exposed to strong winds, birds, or animals. In addition, since the inside of the housing can be kept sealed at all times, the charging part can be sufficiently protected without rainwater etc. entering the housing, and the main line and branch line are kept watertight at the tips of the grip tubes that are connected vertically. Because it is gripped by the holder, rainwater does not enter through the holder, which prevents corrosion and has the advantage of being able to withstand long-term use.

In addition, the live part can be safely maintained inside the connector cover because both the left and right ends of the connector are close to the end walls provided on the receiving side member and the insertion side member, preventing it from sliding during use. There are also advantages.

Furthermore, if the gripping tube is left with the blind cover installed and closed, it can be used as a linear connector cover, which has the advantage of being highly versatile and of high utility value.
