[Detailed description of the invention] [Field of industrial application] The present invention is a branch connector used to cover and protect a live part that branches a service line (hereinafter referred to as a branch line) from a distribution line (hereinafter referred to as a main line). It's about the cover.

With conventional branch connector covers of this type, it is possible to pull in and out the main line in a straight line without any inconvenience, but it is difficult to stabilize the branch line in a state where the distance between the branch line and the main line is maintained, and the structure of the cover is There were problems in that it was complicated, it was difficult to attach it to the live part, and it was difficult to maintain watertightness.

For example, in the "Method of Insulating Electrical Conductors" described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 50-56589, the insulating molded product is divided into two parts in the longitudinal direction, and each part has a connecting part that tightly connects the two parts. An enclosure with an opening for the conductor to pass through is placed on the end side of the conductor at the required insulation point, and both of the two halves of the enclosure are joined at the connecting part in the middle, and the opening is connected to the opening. It is formed by filling an insulating filler into the gap with the conductor and hardening it.

However, in this case, even though it is said that "both sides of the enclosure of the insulating molded product divided into two in the longitudinal direction are tightly connected," the connecting means is, for example, the opposing sides of the enclosure as shown in the figure. It is only a small protrusion and a recess provided in the holder that engage each other, and the fitting portion is extremely small. For this reason, even if adhesive is used there, it is extremely vulnerable to external impact or pressure from strong winds or birds and animals, and even if the enclosure seems to be tightly connected at first, the above-mentioned It cannot withstand impacts etc. for a long period of time, and its bond strength is structurally weak. In such a case, once strong pressure is applied from the outside, the small protrusions will easily come off from the recesses in the connection, causing the enclosures to separate from each other and creating a gap, which poses the risk of rainwater entering and corroding the interior. There was a problem that the amount was large.

Also, since both enclosures have approximately the same inner diameter up to the opening, they cannot handle conductors such as electric wires with different diameters, so each enclosure has an opening with a different inner diameter. There was also the problem that it had to be replaced.

Furthermore, since there is only one opening in both enclosures, when pulling out the two electric wires, the main line and the branch line, which are the object of this invention, it is necessary to pull them out all at once, which creates a gap between the openings. There was also the problem of rainwater entering from there.

The present invention has been made to provide a branch connector cover that eliminates such conventional drawbacks, and includes forming an end wall at one end of the accommodating part for accommodating the live part, and opening a vertically elongated hole in the end wall. An elliptical wire holder is extended to communicate with the vertical hole and hold the branch line and the main line, and furthermore, the wire holder is positioned vertically at the tip of the wire holder to hold the main line and the branch line, respectively. A receiving side member is formed by consecutively disposing gripping cylinders to be gripped, and on the one hand, a flange is provided around the inner end of the fitting cylinder that can be inserted into the housing part, and on the other hand, a protrusion is provided around the outer peripheral surface. Further, an end wall is formed at one end of the fitting tube, and an insertion side member is formed in which a main grip tube extends in communication with the opening provided in the end wall, and the fitting tube is inserted into the housing part. When the insertion tube is inserted, the upper wall and the lower wall of both grip tubes are formed so as to overlap with each other, and the inner diameter of each grip tube is formed into a tapered surface that gradually becomes smaller in diameter toward the tip. It is something.

When inserting the insertion tube into the housing part, the flange of the insertion tube comes into contact with the tip of the housing part, and at the same time the protrusion of the insertion tube bites into the inner circumferential surface of the receiving side member and fixes it. . Therefore, the insertion tube of the insertion side member is tightly and firmly fixed inside the housing part of the receiving side member, and not only are both members firmly connected, but the upper and lower walls of the insertion tube are connected to the top and bottom of the inner circumference of the housing part. Since they are inserted deep into the wall and overlap, the engaging portions of both become large, making it extremely difficult for the two members to separate even if subjected to an external impact.

Then, the charging part E is accommodated in the accommodating part 2 of the receiving side member 1, and in this state, the insertion side member 7 is slid to fit the insertion tube 8 into the accommodating part 2, so that the flange 10 is accommodated. If it is pressed until it contacts the tip of the portion 2, the protrusion 14 will simultaneously bite into the inner circumferential surface of the housing portion 2 and be fixed, thereby covering and protecting the live portion E in a hermetically sealed manner. Further, at this time, the fitting tube 8 and the upper and lower walls of the accommodating portion 2 overlap each other over the entire surface, thereby increasing the engaging portion. As a result, the insertion side member 7 and the receiving side member 1 are tightly and firmly connected. In this state, the charging part E is prevented from sliding to the left or right because both the left and right ends of the bolt-shaped connector D are close to the end walls 3a, 3b, and the main line A and the branch line B are connected to the grip tubes 6a, 6b, They are each held in a watertight manner by the tips of 6c.

In addition, in this example, the main line A has a diameter of 2.6m/m,
An example is shown in which the branch line B has a diameter of 2.0 m/m, but as in this explanation, each grip cylinder 6a,
By adjusting the numerical value 13 for 6b and 6c to the diameter of the electric wire to be used and cutting them off at the position where the reinforcing ribs 12 remain, the electric wire can be held in a watertight manner at all times.

As mentioned above, the branch connector cover of the present invention allows the main line and branch line to pass through each grip tube,
Further, the charging part can be sealed by simply inserting the insertion tube into the housing part while the charging part is housed in the housing part. In addition, the fitting tube fits deep into the housing portion, and the upper and lower walls overlap over the entire surface, increasing the engagement portion, making it difficult to dislodge, and furthermore, it is more tightly fixed by the protrusion and the flange. Therefore, the receiving side member and the insertion side member are firmly connected, and there is no risk of them being separated due to external impact or pressure when exposed to strong winds, birds, or animals.

In addition, since the inside of the storage section can always be kept in a sealed state, the charging section can be sufficiently protected without rainwater etc. entering into the storage section, and the main line and branch line can be held in a watertight state at the tips of both grip tubes. Since each part is drawn out separately, rainwater and the like do not enter from these parts, which prevents corrosion of the live parts and has the advantage of being able to withstand long-term use.

In addition, because both the left and right ends of the branch connector are close to the end walls provided on the receiving side member and the insertion side member, the live part can be prevented from sliding during use, and it can be stably held in the center inside the cover for a long period of time. There is also the advantage of being able to do so.
