Abstract

PURPOSE:To control plural OSs (Operating Systems) having different architecture by means of one and the same hardware by trapping instructions from each guest OS to a CRT at a BIOS (Basic Indexed Operating System) and IN/OUT instruction level. CONSTITUTION:In an information processing system where plural OSs are simultaneously operated, screen information tables 9a-9c which manage the screens of guest OSs 4a-4c, means 6a-6c which trap input/output instructions to a CRT 10 from the guest OSs 4a-4c at a BIOS and IN/OUT instruction levels, and a means 8 which controls the CRT 10 in accordance with a trapped instruction and the screen information tables 9a-9c are provided. Then, by switching the screens of the guest OSs 4a-4c at every OS by depressing a screen switching key, interruption is supriously generated at the guest OSs 4a-4c. Therefore, even plural guest OSs having different architecture can be controlled by means of the same hardware.
