Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a chamber unit and hence compact the size of an airconditioner, by installing an intake damper and exhaust air damper to a suction/ exhaust air unit during ventilation time in order to ventilate, and taking in an open air by way of an open air cooling duct during open air cooling. CONSTITUTION:If it is necessary to discharge an indoor air when ventilating during cooling or heating, the indoor air is induced by an outdoor airconditioner 11. As a result, the indoor air flows in from an indoor air discharge port 32, and passes through an exhaust air damper 39 which is open to an indoor communication port 38 by way of an indoor exhaust air passages 31 for a suction/exhaust air unit 25, and flows through an open air introduction duct 24, and reaches a compressor room 10 from an open air introduction port 19. The air flows downward to a first partition plate 8. From an outdoor unit 9 a blower 11 forces the air to pass through an outdoor heat exchanger 12 and be discharged outdoors from an open air discharge port 3. On the other hand, a suction air flow passes through a suction air opening 37 as an introduction damper is open and runs in L shape through an open air suction passage 30 of the suction/exhaust air unit 25 and enters an indoor unit from a ventilation air suction port 26 and passes through an indoor heat exchanger 21 by way of an indoor blower 20. Then, open air is sucked up from an indoor port 22.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the description of the embodiments described above, the present invention divides the outdoor unit, the compressor room, the indoor unit, and the intake/exhaust unit into sections using respective partition plates, and uses an inlet damper during ventilation. An exhaust damper is installed at the suction/exhaust unit, and ventilation is performed through this suction/exhaust unit. For outside air cooling, outside air is taken in through an outside air intake duct and an outside air cooling duct provided in the compressor room. Since the structure is such that a chamber unit as in the conventional case is not required, the depth dimension can be significantly shortened and compactness can be achieved. Eliminating the need for the chamber unit also leads to a significant cost reduction. ! In addition, since the main body can be installed directly on the outer wall, it has the effect of improving workability.
