Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable total automation of an operation for pushing a foamed body into a tube and prevent the foamed body from being torn off, pierced or drawn out upon completion of the operation, by pneumatically pushing the foamed body through a funnel-like conical surface of a jig into a hole provided at a lower part of the jig, and pushing the foamed body through the hole into the tube of a ball-point pen by a small-diameter rod. CONSTITUTION:A jig 4 used for pushing a sponge 5 into a tube 6 is provided with a hole 7 having a small diameter not more than the inside diameter of the tube 6, and with a funnel-like conical surface 8 in continuation with an upper part of the hole 7. An end face of the tube 6 is brought into contact with the lower surface of the jig 4, concentrically with the hole 7, and the sponge 8 is placed in the conical surface 8. The sponge 5 is located directly above the boundary between the hole 7 and the conical surface 8, under its own weight. Then, compressed air is blown downward into the conical surface 8, whereby the sponge 5 is pneumatically pushed into the hole 7. The sponge 5 is pushed downward by a pin 9 having a diameter approximate to the inside diameter of the hole 7, whereby the small piece of sponge 5 is smoothly pushed into the tube 6.

The present invention solves the aforementioned problems of the conventional method of press-fitting foam into tubes, is fully automated, and eliminates the need for the foam to be torn, punched through, or pulled out at the end of the process. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for press-fitting a foam into a tube that does not cause curling.

The present invention is intended to achieve the above-mentioned object, and its means include a hole of a jig in which a hole having a diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the tube is formed, and the upper part of the hole is formed into a funnel-shaped conical surface. By abutting the tube below the hole with its center aligned with the hole, and placing the foam inside the conical surface and blowing air into the conical surface, this = 3- foam was pushed into the hole. After that, the foam is pressed into the tube by pressing the foam into the tube using a narrow rod.

〔発明の実施例〕[Embodiments of the invention]

次に、本発明の実施の一例を第1図について説明する。 Next, an example of implementation of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.

The jig block 4 used in this example has a sponge 5.
A hole 7 with a diameter equal to or smaller than the inner diameter of the tube 6 into which the tube 6 is inserted is bored, and a funnel-shaped conical surface 8 is continuously formed in the upper part of the hole 7.

Then, as shown in FIG. 4A, the end surface of the tube 6 is brought into contact with the lower surface of the jig block 4 so that the hole 7 coincides with the stop, and a small piece of the sponge 5 is placed inside the conical surface 8.

Due to its own weight, this small piece of sponge 5 forms a hole 7 and a conical surface 8.
Since it is located directly above the boundary of the conical surface 8, if compressed air is blown into the conical surface 8 from above at this time, a small piece of the sponge 5 will blow into the hole 7.
As a result, a small piece of the sponge 5 is press-fitted into the hole 7 by air pressure, as shown in FIG. 7(b).

As shown in the same figure (C), a pin 9 having approximately the same diameter as the hole 7
When pressed from above, the small piece of sponge 5 is pushed into the tube 6 without any force.

Therefore, the foam is not pinched between the narrow rod and the end face of the conical surface, hole, or tube, so the foam is not torn, and the end face of the narrow rod only touches the foam, so the narrow rod can be The foam will not be removed during removal.

Furthermore, since the foam is compressed and pushed into the holes by the narrow rods, the foam does not penetrate through the narrow rods.

In this way, the foam can be press-fitted into the tube easily and reliably, so that when the work is done manually, it can be done efficiently without requiring skill or dexterity.

Furthermore, if the foam is fed by a feeder, the tube is set by an automatic machine, and the narrow rod is moved up and down by a piston, this work can be fully automated.
