Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a stopper tape to be surely used in a predetermined mode in accordance with unwinding by using an object, which provides an adhesive layer respectively in one side part in one surface and in the other side part in the other surface, serving as the stopper tape and adhesively mounting the stopper tape reversely in its obverse and reverse by the mode of operations A and B. CONSTITUTION:Adhesive agent layers 2a, 2b of the same kind are provided respectively in one side part and the other side part of the other surface of a supporter of a stopper tape C. A film 5 fixes its terminal to a winding core 4 by the adhesive agent layers 2a, 2b, and the film 5 can be rewound by rotating the winding core 4. While in unwind ing of the film 5, in the case of modes of operations A and B selected when the film 5 can be unwound being left as providing the stopper tape C in the terminal side of the film 5, the first or latter half adhesive layers 2a, 2b in the one side of the stopper tape C are brought into contact with the winding core 4, while the latter or first half adhesive layers 2b, 2a are brought into contact with the terminal of the film 5, and the unwinding is performed. Thus, because the adhesive layers 2a, 2b are placed in a reverse position of the stopper tape C by its obverse and reverse, the operation can be correctly selected with no mistake.

<Prior art> When winding a film onto a core, it is necessary to fix the end of the film to the core and then rotate the core.
Conventionally, double-sided adhesive tape has been used to fix the film end to the core.

By the way, when rewinding a film that has been wound using such a stop tape, there are cases in which the film is required to be rewound with the stop tape attached to the end of the film, and cases in which the film is required to be rewound with the stop tape attached to the core winding side. It may be necessary to rewind the film up to For example, in the former case, the last end of the film exposed by rewinding (attached to a stopper tape) is connected to the leading edge of the next rewound film using a stopper tape, and the films are successively rolled one after another. In the latter case, the film may be rewound without leaving a stopper tape (adhesive) at the end of the film.

Conventionally, in order to make such a selection possible, the adhesive force on both sides of the double-sided adhesive tape used as a stopper tape was made different in strength and weakness. In the former case, the weaker adhesive side of the stopper tape was placed on the core side. In the latter case, the weak adhesive side of the fastening tape should be brought into contact with the film end to fix it. The end of the film is fixed to the core with tape.

However, with double-sided adhesives that have different adhesion strengths, the differences can be visually discerned. It often happens that the above selection cannot be made smoothly. Furthermore, as long as a weak adhesive is used, there is a concern that the tensile strength of the film joint during continuous unwinding is unavoidable, and peeling of the film joint during continuous unwinding is inevitable. Furthermore, manufacturing the fastening tape is not easy because it requires two types of adhesives, each with a strong and weak adhesive force.

An object of the present invention is to reliably use the fastening tape in a predetermined manner without error when unwinding the fastening tape by attaching it to the film end side or unwinding by attaching the fastening tape to the film core side. In addition, there is only one type of adhesive for the stop tape.
Moreover, it is possible to use a highly adhesive material.

Means for Solving the Problems> In the film end treatment method according to the present invention, when the film end is adhered to the winding core with a fastening tape and the film is wound, the film is left with the fastening tape attached to the film end side. In the method of selecting winding operation A that allows the film to be rewound, or winding operation B that allows the film to be rewound with the fastening tape attached to the winding core side, the fastening tape is one-sided. This method is characterized in that an adhesive layer is provided on one part and the other side, and in operations A and B, the fastening tape is adhered with the front and back reversed.

Figure 2A shows the winding operation A selected when the film can be rewound with the stopper tape attached to the end of the film. The layer 2a is in contact with the winding core 4, and the stopper tape C
The second half adhesive layer 2b on the other side is in contact with the film end. In FIG. 2A, based on the unwinding tension T, only shear force acts on the second half adhesive layer 2b on the other side of the stop tape, whereas the first half adhesive layer 2b on one side of the stop tape
In a, there is a normal force (tensile peeling force) f due to the curved surface of the winding core 4.
also works. However, although the adhesive exhibits strong adhesive strength against shear force, it has weak adhesive strength against vertical force, so the fastening tape C inevitably peels off at the first half adhesive layer 2a that is in contact with the winding core 4. It will be attached to the film terminal side.

On the other hand, FIG. 2B shows the winding operation B selected when the film can be rewound with the stopper tape C attached to the core side. The second half adhesive layer 2b is in contact with the core 4, and the first half adhesive layer 2a on one side is in contact with the film end 51. Figure 2B
When the unwinding tension T is applied to the film 5, a peeling force with the illustrated tension T as a load acts on the adhesive interface of the first half adhesive layer 2a, and on the adhesive interface of the second half adhesive layer 2b, A peeling force whose load is the illustrated tension -T° is applied. In addition, the distribution of the peeling force acting on the first half adhesive layer 2a and the distribution of the peeling force acting on the second half adhesive layer 2b are substantially superior to each other due to the same mechanical structure. However, the tension -T'' acting on the rear adhesive layer 2b is the result of the above-mentioned another tension 4T being transmitted through the adhesive 2a, and due to the elasticity of the adhesive 2a, the load force is applied during the transmission. Since agitation inevitably occurs, the tension -T' is smaller than the tension →T. Therefore, the peeling force acting on the first half adhesive layer 2a is larger than the peeling force acting on the second half adhesive layer 2b, and the stopper tape C inevitably peels off on the film terminal Sl side and on the core 4 side. It will be attached to.

<Effects of the Invention> As described above, according to the film end treatment method according to the present invention, by using the fastening tape with the front side or the back side facing, it is possible to select the attachment mode of the fastening tape when rewinding the film. It becomes possible to wind the film. In fact,
Because the adhesive layers are in opposite positions on the front and back sides of the tape,
The front and back sides of the fastening tape can be reliably identified, and the above selection can be made accurately without error. Furthermore, since the same adhesive can be used on both sides of the fastening tape, the fastening tape can be manufactured easily. Furthermore, an adhesive having a normal adhesive strength can be used, and the strength of the connection between the films by the stopper tape during continuous unwinding as described above can be sufficiently guaranteed.
