Conventionally, this type of measuring instrument is known as Japanese Patent Publication No. 47-31137, which consists of a water tube 2 with a porous cup 1 and a mercury manometer 3 connected by a connecting tube 4, which are separate from each other. Because of the structure, it was inconvenient to handle. Furthermore, since mercury is used, if the manometer is damaged while measuring soil moisture in fields or greenhouses, mercury may get mixed into the soil, resulting in mercury contamination.

The present invention was devised in view of these conventional drawbacks, and its structure is such that a storage chamber is provided inside a transparent water tube with an unglazed cup at the lower end, and a reinforcing outer tube is attached to the outside of this water tube. A transparent part for internal observation is provided at the top of the water pipe, a stopper is removably attached to the upper end of the transparent part, and a scale plate is attached to a decompression meter fixed in communication with the storage chamber so as to be adjustable in the circumferential direction. Of the numbers "0 to 60" formed in , the numbers "0 to 60"
The range of 10 is a yellow band that indicates high water content, the range of numbers 11 to 49 is a green band that indicates an appropriate amount of water, and the range of 50 to 60 is a red band that indicates low water content. It is characterized by having a pointer linked to a decompression meter.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.A transparent water tube 12 has a porous unglazed cup 11 fixed to the lower end, which allows water to pass through but not air.An outer tube 13 that also serves as reinforcement is fixed to the outside of the tube. A cylindrical main body 14 is formed, and a stopper 17 is removably fitted into an opening 16 existing at the upper part of a storage chamber 15 provided in the water pipe. In this case, the transparent part 12a for viewing the inside of the storage chamber 15 is located outside the outer tube 13. A main body 20 having a known decompression meter such as a Bourdon tube is fixed to the cylindrical main body 14 in communication with the accommodation chamber 15, and a scale plate 21 is attached to the front surface of the main body 20 so as to be adjustable in the circumferential direction. . 22 is this scale plate 21
A pair of arcuate holes 23, 23 are formed concentrically around this hole 22, and a scale 24 is further formed on the periphery of this scale plate 21. In this case, the value on scale 24 is "0 to 10"
A yellow band 24a is formed to warn that there is a lot of water in the range up to
A red band 24c is formed where the value up to 60'' is large, indicating a low moisture content. Scale 24
A green band 24b is formed in the range of 11 to 49 to indicate an appropriate amount of moisture.

In order to bury the unglazed cup 11 at a predetermined depth in the soil, a depth scale 31 is marked on the outer surface of the cylindrical body 14 from below to above, with a horizontal line 30 passing through the center of the unglazed cup 11 as a reference. If the unglazed cups 31 are formed at regular intervals, the unglazed cups 31 will be on the ground surface 3.
At a glance, one can understand at a glance how deep it is located from 5.

Next, to explain the operation of this embodiment, the bolts 26, 26 are loosened depending on the burial depth h in the soil, and the scale of the scale plate 21 is aligned with the pointer 27. That is, it is rotated by one scale for every 10 cm of burial depth. Therefore, if the burial depth is 30 cm, move it 3 scales.
Next, the stopper 17 is removed from the opening 16 and the storage chamber 15 is opened.
Fill the chamber with water, close the stopper 17 again, and open the storage chamber 1.
Seal 5. After leaving it for a while, the stopper 17 is removed and water is added again into the storage chamber 15. By repeating this operation several times, the air in the storage chamber 15 is completely eliminated. The presence or absence of air in the storage chamber 15 can be easily confirmed from the transparent portion 12a.

Next, the cylindrical body is inserted into the hole in the soil through the unglazed cup 11 and buried at a predetermined depth. Then, as the soil 36 dries, the water in the storage chamber 15 flows out from the unglazed cup 11 into the soil, and as a result, the inside of the storage chamber 15 becomes negative pressure, and the decompression meter reads:
As the pressure inside the storage chamber 15 decreases, the pointer 27 rotates clockwise and measures the pressure difference at depth H from the center of the decompression meter to the center of the unglazed cup 11. This is to read the PF value (water column height) of the water. Although the accuracy of this device is slightly degraded, it is convenient to handle, and since it does not use mercury, even amateurs can use it with confidence.

This invention uses a decompression meter to measure the negative pressure that is generated in the containment chamber when water flows out of a permeable unglazed cup, and the scale plate of the decompression meter has a scale that indicates whether the water content is high, moderate, or low. It has the advantage of being color-coded into red, green, and yellow so that the amount of water can be recognized at a glance, and that the interior can be monitored from the outside because a transparent section is provided at the top of the storage chamber.
