【考案の詳細な説明】 考案の目的 (産業上の利用分野) 本考案は、自動車のホイールハウスの外輪郭を
形成するフエンダーアーチの前縁部外側に設けら
れるエアフラツプの構造に関する。

ある。したがつてその構造についても種々の提案
がなされている。例えば特開昭58〜136571号公報
に記載のリヤフエンダーアーチの前縁部外側に車
幅方向外方に膨出し、かつフエンダーの一般面に
滑かに連続する弾性材からなる一体成形したチツ
ピングプロテクターを取付けるようにしたもの等
である。

つて、その要旨とするところは、自動車のホイー
ルハウスの外輪郭部を形成するフエンダーアーチ
前縁部外方側にはフエンダー面と連続し、かつ車
体外方へ張り出すフエンダー側エアフラツプ部材
を設けるとともに、ドアの前記フエンダーアーチ
前縁部に隣接する部位にドア面と連続し車体外方
に張り出すドア側エアフラツプ部材を設け、ドア
閉時それらフエンダー側エアフラツプ部材とドア
側エアフラツプ部材の外表面とがほぼ連続する面
を形成するように構成したことを特徴とする自動
車のエアフラツプ構造にある。

された形のドア側エアフラツプ部材4及びフエン
ダー側エアフラツプ部材5が取付けられている。
このエアフラツプ3は第2図以下において明確な
ように部材4及び5により構成されているが、部
材4及び5は、フエンダーアーチ1の外側、ドア
2の外側のそれぞれに車幅方向外方に張り出し、
それぞれフエンダー及びドア外側の一般面に連続
する面を有し、かつドア2の縁部において対向す
る合せ面6を構成するよう形成されている。そし
て部材4のドア2に対する取付けは、部材4のド
ア側の面の周辺に両面接着テープ7を貼着してな
され、部材5のフエンダーアーチ1に対する取付
けも前記同様、そのフエンダー側の面の周辺及び
所要面に両面接着テープを貼着してなされ、さら
に、部材5の車輪方向側縁部は、第2図のC線断
面図として示す第5図のように、フエンダーアー
チ1の縁部にボルトナツトにより所要数箇所にお
いて緊締され、又その下方側縁部は第2図のA線
断面図として示す第3図のようにクリツプ8によ
り所要の数箇所においてフエンダーアーチ1に緊
締されている。一方部材4と5の合せ面6に形成
される間隙は、第2図及び第2図のB線断面図と
して示す第4図、さらに第3図の点円で囲まれた
部分の拡大図として示す第6図におけるようにド
ア2の縁部と部材4の縁部との接合部に間隙が設
けられ、この部分に合せ面6の前記間隙をシール
するためのシール部材として軟質ゴム板9がその
端部を嵌挿して固着されている。尚第4図におい
て符号10はタイヤを示す。

ヤフエンダーアーチのように、リヤフエンダーア
ーチの前方部分が車体前後方向に狭い幅となる場
合でも、エアフラツプ機能を得るのに充分な大き
さのエアフラツプをフエンダー側エアフラツプ部
材とドア側エアフラツプ部材とに分割構成するこ
とにより容易に取り付けることができるので、本
考案は自動車の空力効果の増大に大いに寄与する
ものである。

アフラツプ部材を設け、ドア閉時それらフエン
ダー側エアフラツプ部材とドア側エアフラツプ
部材の外表面とがほぼ連続する面を形成するよ
うに構成したことを特徴とする自動車のエアフ
ラツプ構造。 (2) ドア側エアフラツプ部材はドア閉時、ドア側
エアフラツプ部材とフエンダー側エアフラツプ
部材との間隙をシールするシール部材を有する
