Abstract

PURPOSE:To omit the necessity of power supply for holding storage in image memory after the end of reserved picture recording by recording a static image signal of a recording video signal stored in an image memory device in a recording medium before the end of reserved recording. CONSTITUTION:The recoder is provided with a means 6 for recording a video signal in a recording medium, an image memory device 8 for writing a video signal in a static image signal at the time of recording and a means 6 for recording the static image signal written in the device 8 after the end of recording in a recording start position of a recording medium. The device 8 writes and stores an optional video signal in recording as a static image signal. After the end of recording, the recording means 6 records a static image signal in the recording start part of the recording medium. Consequently, power supply to the image memory device 8 is unnecessary after the end of recording of a static image signal to the recording medium.

In the conventional video tape recorder configured as described above, when performing scheduled recording, the manual switch 30 is turned on and the power supply circuit 22 is connected to the volatile image memory device 29.
It will turn on when more power is supplied. Timer record setting circuit 2
0, the timer circuit 21 supplies power from the power supply circuit 22 to the component part 3.
Supply to 2. As a result, the video tape recorder starts operating in recording mode, and during the set recording time, the video signal output from the tuner circuit 24 is transferred to the recording/reproducing circuit 25.
The signal is then subjected to predetermined signal processing and recorded as a video signal on a videotape (not shown) via a rotary head 26. Further, the timer recording setting circuit 20 outputs a signal at a set time during monitor recording during recording. This signal passes through the timer circuit 21 and enters the control circuit 23.
The control circuit 23 controls one field of the video signal output from the tuner circuit 24 or! Switch 28, which is normally off only during frame time, is turned on. Therefore, the video signal is input to the recording/reproducing circuit 25, and is also input to the image memory device 29 via the switch 28, and is stored in the image memory device 29 as a still image signal.

When the scheduled recording end time set in the timer recording setting circuit 20 comes, the timer circuit 21 cuts off the power supplied to the component 32 in response to a signal output from the timer recording setting circuit 20. Therefore, the operation of the component 32 is stopped and the scheduled recording is terminated. Since power is supplied to the - side image memory device 29 from the power supply circuit 22 via the manual switch 30, the stored still image is retained. In this state, the still image signal stored in the image memory device 29 can be monitored via the monitor terminal 31 by switching the manual switch 27 to the terminal a side. By monitoring the recorded contents of the reserved recording in this way using a still image, it is possible to roughly know the recorded contents.

In the video tape recorder configured as described above, when the scheduled recording start time comes, the timer circuit 2 supplies the power supplied from the power supply circuit 3 to the control circuit 4 and the tuner circuit 5.
, the recording/reproducing circuit 6, the image memory device 8, the switches 7 and 9, the rotary head 10, and the monitor terminal +1 (the part surrounded by the chain line in FIG. 1). As a result, the video tape recorder starts operating in the recording mode, and during the set recording time, the video signal output from the tuner circuit 5 is subjected to predetermined signal processing in the recording/reproducing circuit 6, and is transmitted via the rotary head IO. and recorded on a videotape (not shown) as a video signal. On the other hand, the timer recording setting circuit 1 outputs a signal at the time when monitor recording is set, and upon receiving this signal, the timer circuit 2 outputs a signal to the control circuit 4. Upon receiving this signal, the control circuit 4 turns on the switch 7, which is normally off only for one field or one frame of the video signal output from the tuner circuit 5. Therefore, the video signal is input to the recording/reproducing circuit 6, and at the same time, is input to the image memory device 8 via the switch 7, and is stored as a still image signal.

When the scheduled recording end time set in the timer recording setting circuit 1 is reached, a signal is output from the timer recording setting circuit 1, and this signal passes through the timer circuit 2 and is manually input to the control circuit 4. The control circuit 4 causes the recording/reproducing circuit 6 to stop outputting the video signal and also stops the video tape drive section (not shown). Therefore, recording of the video signal output from the recording/reproducing circuit 6 onto the video tape is stopped. After that, the control circuit 4 outputs a signal to the videotape drive unit (not shown) to rewind the videotape to the part where recording started.
The videotape is rewound. When the rewinding of the videotape is completed, the control circuit 4 outputs a signal to turn on the switch 9. At the same time, the control circuit 4 drives the video tape drive section so that recording on video tape is possible. Therefore, the still image signal stored in the image memory device 8 is repeatedly read out over a period of frames, and several frames are added to the first part of the rewound videotape via the switch 9, the recording/reproducing circuit 6, and the rotary head IO. recorded for a period of time. After the recording is completed, the videotape is rewound again to the recording start portion, and then the timer circuit 2 cuts off the power supplied to the component 12, thereby stopping the operation of the component 12 and ending the scheduled recording.

Some of the images being recorded, which are stored in the image memory device 8 in this way, are recorded at the scheduled recording start portion of the videotape and then the scheduled recording ends, so the images remain volatile after the scheduled recording ends. There is no need to supply power to the memory device 8 for memory retention.

It is also possible to input images at any time during recording, once or several times, into the image memory device 8 and record them on a videotape. By playing back the videotape of the portion where recording has started as described above, the recorded content can be roughly known. Furthermore, the video tape may be recorded so that it appears on the entire television screen, or it may be recorded as a multi-picture of nine still pictures A-I, as shown in FIG.
