Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform sheath leaving work easily and safely, by applying fixing tapes at the opposite sides of sheath leaving section of round wires then cutting only insulation coating off, thereafter moving a cutter and forming a sheath. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of round wires 1 are arranged in parallel with intervals. At first, fixing tapes 21, 22 are applied at the opposite sides of a section where sheath is left, so as to secure the round wires 1. Then a cutter 3 is applied at the working section in order to cut only insulation coatings of the round wires 1 off. Thereafter, the cutter is moved as it is toward the tip of the round wires 1 and the insulation coatings are peeled and moved from the conductor 4 together with the fixing tape 22 thus forming a sheath. By such method, sheath leaving work can be performed easily even if a fixing tape having high tensile strength is employed.

Conventionally, multiple round electric wires of this type were connected parallel to each other at intervals.
In order to form connection terminals for flat electric wires where only the terminal parts arranged in parallel are fixed with fixing tape, the coated insulator of the round electric wires fixed by fixing tape while maintaining the mutual distance is used for fixing. Peel it off along with a part of the tape to expose the conductor of the round electric wire, and attach it to the tip of the stripped conductor.
In order to prevent conductor disturbance, so-called flat wire terminal sheath-retaining processing is carried out, in which a part of the fixing tape is peeled off and the sheath of the insulator remains.

The conventional technique 1 shown in Fig. 5 is to leave the end sheath of a flat electric wire in place by sandwiching a round electric wire on both sides, one side on the insulation sheath, and the other side on the insulation sheath together with a fixing tape. After making a scratch with the metal processing blade, move the processing blade towards the end, tear the covering insulator and fixing tape, and place the torn covered insulator and fixing tape on the exposed tip of the conductor as a sheath. This is a method in which the sheath is left at the end and processed. However, since the method of Prior Art 1 uses a metal processing blade to tear the covered insulator and the fixing tape, if the tensile strength of the material of the fixing tape is high, processing is difficult, and the exposed conductor is removed. There is a problem that it may be damaged or broken.

When a fixing tape made of a material with high tensile strength is used, the processing method for leaving the end sheath of Prior Art 2 illustrated in FIG. 6 is applied. In other words, in the case of a flat electric wire formed with the extra length of the round electric wire protruding from the end of the fixed round electric wire aligned with fixing tape, the tensile strength is Can apply fixing tape for large materials. However, in the method of Prior Art 2, the covering insulator corresponding to the sheath remains at the tip of each round electric wire, and the round electric wires are not fixed all together, so the function of leaving the sheath is not fulfilled. I can't.

説明する。
The method of the present invention for processing flat electric wires with terminal sheaths left is to attach fixing tapes made of material with high tensile strength to both sides of the sheath-remaining part of the round electric wires, fix the round electric wires, and then Only the coated insulation of the round electric wire is cut using machining force,
The processing method moves the processing force toward the tip of the round wire to tear the insulation covering and strip the conductor, leaving it as a sheath on the tip of the conductor along with the fixing tape attached to the tip of the round wire. This eliminates the need to tear and pull the fixing tape made of material with high tensile strength, making it possible to easily and stably process the sheath while leaving it in place. There is also no bending of the fixing part, making it easy to insert into and remove from connectors and wiring board holes. It doesn't bend. Examples will be described below based on the drawings.

FIGS. 3a and 3b show Example 1, in which a tape made of a material with high tensile strength is used as the fixing tape 21 to be attached to both sides of the sheath-remaining part of the round electric wire 1 in which the conductor 4 is coated with a covered insulator 11. A fixing tape 22 with low tensile strength is attached to the part of the round electric wire 1 sandwiched between the fixing tapes 21. At the part where the fixing tape 22 is pasted, the covering insulator 11 of the round electric wire 1 is cut with processing force 3, and the conductor 4 is stripped by pulling in the direction of the tip of the torn round electric wire 1. A fixing tape 21 and a fixing tape 22 are attached to the tip of the fixed round electric wire 1, so that the tip of the coated insulator 11 of the fixed round electric wire 1 remains, and the end is left in a sheath. Since the fixing tape 22 is made of a material with low tensile strength, it can be easily torn or stretched by the processing force 3.
It can be carried out reliably, without damaging the conductor 4, and with a stable sheath-retaining end fixed with a fixing tape with high tensile strength, it is possible to perform the end sheath-retaining process of a flat electric wire. .

As explained above, the method of processing a flat electric wire with a sheath remaining at the end of the round electric wire is performed by pasting fixing tape made of a material with high tensile strength on both sides of the sheath-remaining part of the round electric wire to fix the round electric wire. The insulation of the round wire between the fixing tapes is then cut using processing force, and the processing force is moved toward the tip of the round wire to tear the insulation and strip the conductor, cutting the tip of the round wire. Since this is a processing method that leaves a sheath on the tip of the conductor along with the fixing tape attached to the conductor, there is no need to tear and pull the fixing tape, which has a high tensile strength, and the process of leaving the sheath can be easily and stably performed. In addition, the fixing part does not bend and does not bend when inserted into or removed from a connector or wiring board hole, which is highly effective.

[Scope of Claims] A fixing tape is commonly attached and fixed to the terminal portions of a plurality of round electric wires arranged in parallel at intervals while maintaining the parallel arrangement spacing between the round electric wires. form a flat electric wire,
The peeled fixing tape and coated insulator are peeled off together with the fixing tape and the conductor is stripped of the covered insulator of the round electric wire at the terminal end where the fixing tape of the flat electric wire is pasted and fixed. In a method for processing a flat electric wire to leave a sheath at the end thereof, a plurality of round electric wire ends arranged in parallel with the end of the flat electric wire to be processed to leave a sheath are arranged in parallel with each other. Maintaining the distance, fix the round wire by attaching fixing tape to two places on the main body and the tip of the round wire on both sides of the sheath-remaining part, and fix the round wire between the fixing tapes attached to the two places. The coated insulator of the round electric wires arranged in parallel is cut with a processing blade in the middle part of the round electric wire, and the processing blade is moved along with the fixing tape attached to the tip of the round electric wire in the direction of the tip of the round electric wire. A flat electric wire comprising the steps of: peeling off the insulating cover, stripping the conductor, and processing the end of the conductor so that the peeled insulator and the sheath of the fixing tape remain at the tip of the conductor. How to leave the terminal sheath.
