一般に自動車のサイドミラーはフロントフエン
ダに取付けられるものであるが、これをフロント
ドア付近に取付けたいという要請もあり、フロン
トドア付近にサイドミラーを取付けたものとし
て、従来実開昭55−6162号公報に示されているよ
うにドアサツシに取付けたもの、あるいはドアパ
ネルに取付けたもの等があつた。しかしこのよう
にドアサツシやドアパネルにサイドミラーを取付
けると、十分な取付強度が得られず、ドアを開閉
するたびにサイドミラーがドアと共に動いてガタ
ガタし、またその組立も困難であり、さらにはミ
ラー取付角度を調節するための操作機構も複雑化
してコストアツプの要因になるという問題があつ
た。

体と干渉することのない自動車のサイドミラー取
付構造を得ることを目的とする。

ようにし、該ミラー支持体を後部にミラーを埋設
し、さらにフロントドアのヒンジ点を、上記サイ
ドミラー取付部よりも車体外方位置で且つフロン
トドアの開閉時に該フロントドアと上記ミラー支
持体とが干渉しない位置に設定したものである。

に取付ける場合よりも取付強度が強くなつてガタ
ガタすることはなく、またミラー支持体の外表面
上部をフロントピラーの前方傾斜面から滑らかに
連続する面で構成したので、風騒音を低減できる
とともにデザイン的に秀れていて商品性を向上で
きるという効果がある。さらにドアやドアサツシ
と異なり動くことのないフロントピラーにミラー
支持体を取付けたので、ミラー操作機構の構造を
簡単化でき、その組立も容易に行なえるという効
果がある。さらにまたフロントドアのヒンジ点
を、上記サイドミラー取付部よりも車体外方位置
で、且つフロントドアの開閉時に該フロントドア
と上記ミラー支持体とが干渉しない位置に設定し
たので、フロントドアを開けた際、該ドアのドア
サツシ等がミラー支持体に当たることはなく、ド
ア開閉操作時にサイドミラーを破損したり、ドア
を傷付けたりすることもないという効果もある。
