段の選択が容易であると共にペン切換機構が簡素
となり、且つ、キヤリツジに電磁石等の重量の嵩
むペン駆動源を塔載する必要がないので、キヤリ
ツジが軽量、小型となり、キヤリツジの高速送り
化が可能となるばかりか、キヤリツジ移送用モー
タの小型化も可能となり、総じて、多色記録が可
能なペン式記録装置を小型化・軽量化し得て、そ
の実用的価値は多大である。
