Claims

[Claims for Utility Model Registration] (1) A socket for replaceably mounting a QFP integrated circuit on a printed wiring board, which consists of a box with at least the top surface open and capable of accommodating the integrated circuit. The socket body includes a socket body having a frame smaller than the box body at the lower part thereof, and a lid body which is detachably placed over the upper opening of the socket body, and one end of the socket body has a base frame smaller than the box body. A plurality of contact pieces are arranged in the box so as to be able to contact the leads, and the other ends are bent outward from the lower end of the underframe so as to be substantially parallel to the board surface of the printed wiring board. A QFP type integrated circuit socket, characterized in that each other end of the contact piece is soldered to a footprint position for an integrated circuit formed on the printed wiring board. (2) A socket for a QFP type integrated circuit according to claim 1, wherein each end of said contact piece has spring elasticity. (3) The QF according to claim 1, wherein each other end of the contact piece has approximately the same dimensions as a lead of the integrated circuit.
