で、鉄筋の突出端への挿着作業時、(配筋時)や
同突出端よりの回収作業時(コンクリート打設
時)に手指がすべつてしまい、之等の作業を行い
難く、特に突出端に対し自然脱落の危険性のない
ように、多少堅目に挿着するような場合に一層顕
著であつた。このような問題は例えば頭部を平面
多角形状とすることにより解消し得るが、単一構
造の合成樹脂製のものでは材質的にかなり硬いの
で、頭部の外周面に生ずる角度が危険となり、保
護効果の低下を招くことになる。このような問題
は例えば実開昭54−53823号公報にみられるよう
にゴム等の弾性物質製本体と、該本体に内蔵され
る硬質板状体との複合構造にすることにより解消
できるが、これでは単一構造の利点、即ち製造容
易従つて低コストの利点が失われることになり、
好ましい解決策でない。

各隅角部に凹溝3を形成し、之等隅角部の肉厚を
減じたので、頭部2の外周面の各角部2bが、そ
の構成材料である合成樹脂の保有弾性と相俟つて
良好なクツシヨン性を発揮し、外部から負荷され
る衝撃を緩和でき、角部2bの存在に拘わらず危
険性がなく、角部2bを有しない通常の保護キヤ
ツプと同様の良好な保護効果が得られる。
